In 1996 a new school building were constructed for Sedona High after plans were initiated by Jane Addams to move her daughter’s school from Mesa to Scottsdale because of budget cuts at Arizona State University (ASU). However both schools closed during 2006-2007 due to budget constraints within ASU itself as well as enrollment growth at Sedona High which reached its maximum capacity limit that year.
