This system continues to be used today by many businesses in Fountain Hills including PepsiCo's Scotts Valley bottling plant (#5), Indus Valley Winery (#4), AZ Millinery (#3), Flower Face Gallery ( #2), and Sunburst Farms #1; among others. In 1951–1952 Japanese American Citizens League volunteers erected two large wooden crosses on top of hills northeast of downtown Phoenix to mark POW/MIA gravesites located there during World War II.; they were removed after complaints from local citizens.. The community acquired its current name when it annexed parts of Mesa County in 1959; this included most notably portions east and west of Interstate 10 along Roosevelt Roads including Anthem music factory campus south currently home to Mayo Clinic.

In 1994–1995 city leaders decided that the Community Center would be renamed "Phoenix Art Museum". A $10 million bond issue approved by voters allowed construction began on December 8th 1995. By 2013 only a small amount ofCENTRAL AVE remained original commercial property while many other properties have been redeveloped into mixed use/residential/commercial areas with strong promise for future retail development around Central Avenue should it become desired again as an open-air mall In recent years there has also been an increase in interest within the community towards restoring classic American architecture such as Art Deco Revival buildings which can be found scattered throughout the once rural townscape The history of Fountain Hills goes back over 100 years with significant contributions made by several individuals including William Sanger who helped develop water supplies for neighboring communities before opening up his own ranching empire west of Phoenix As time passed some families moved away but others kept their roots here developing businesses such as citrus farmers (George Willard & sons), ranchers (Johnnie Coxe) until finally becoming one half of what we know today including James Buchanan Webb Sr., one time U2 tour manager who also served two terms Governor from 1977-1981 Finally much later George Mueller established himself here purchasing various parcels from Webb leaving behind one large piece of real estate currently occupied by Village Green Golf Course
