The area was first populated by the Yavapai Nation in the 1800s and today it's home to a wide variety of Native American tribes. In 1907, Queen Creek was annexed into the City of Phoenix, Arizona. The city has since become one of the largest metropolitan areas in Phoenix and today it holds over 1 million residents.
Queen Creek is a small town in Pinal County, Arizona, located on the banks of the White River. The population was 1,500 at the 2010 census. Queen Creek is best known for its golf courses and as a center for cattle ranching. Queen Creek started as a settlement in 1887 by two brothers, George and John King. They named their new community after Queen Elizabeth II of England. The name stuck and the town grew quickly. In 1912 the first post office was established in Queen Creek. The townsite was renamed to honor General Philip Sheridan during World War I because he had been an important military leader in that war. The town's first store opened in 1916 and soon became one of Phoenix's most popular shopping areas. In 1925, Queen Creek annexed part of Apache Junction to form a new municipality which continued to grow rapidly. In 1957, Queen Creek became independent from Apache Junction when it adopted its own government under the name of Queen Creek Village Incorporated. Queen Creek has seen many changes during its history- from being an agricultural village to becoming one of Phoenix's most popular shopping destinations and now home to over 1,500 residents

Queen Creek is a census-designated place in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. The population was 114 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Queen Creek was named by Captain John H. Queen and his wife Mrs. Lillian Gentry Queen in honor of their home county, Queen's County, Maryland. The Queens had moved to what is now Navajo County in 1912 from Apache Junction, Arizona Territory on the Mogollon Rim where they had been living as Ute Indian chiefs since 1868. The first post office at Queen Creek was established on January 10, 1907., and became operational on March 1st of that year under the name "Queen's Ferry." On November 4th 1911 a new post office called "Queen's Crossing" was opened at a point east of present day Mesa Verde National Park boundary south of the creek bed which forms its eastern border with Nogales County; this post office operated until it closed on July 16th 1951 due to heavy Mexican immigration into Kingman County making it necessary for all mail to be sent through Phoenix instead. The ZIP code for this community then was 85220 which still applies today although most people have moved away from Queen Creek since then... On February 27th 1935 an act establishing queencreek as an incorporated town within Navajo County was ratified by both chambers of Congress and signed by President Franklin D Roosevelt; this act provided for Queen Creek to become an unincorporated community within Navajo Nation as well as providing for its own governance & budgeting procedures... In late 1954 when general Electric Company built their electric plant twelve miles southeast of present day Queen Creek along US Route 66 (now Loop 101) development caused massive growth in nearby Mesa Verde National Park where many thousands more people were brought into contact with nature & began developing areas such as Desert Vista Resort near present day Scottsdale while also creating many jobs at General Electric Company... In recent years there has been much redevelopment taking place around QC including several high rise buildings constructed by Suntec Group Americas Incorporation who are developers behind several large mixed use projects adjacent to numerous shopping malls across northern Phoenix... Queen Creek residents continue to enjoy access to many amenities located just outside their door such as golf courses & lakeside resorts while also enjoying easy access to local businesses & services nearly everywhere they go - whether it be grocery stores or medical centers!
