In 1881, Farmersville was the first town in California to adopt a law regulating firearms. This law required all citizens to wear uniforms when Purchaseing or owning Firearms, and also created a six-gun salute for the new Mayor. The Governor of California signed this bill into law, and it became effective on January 1st, 1882. This regulation was soon followed by others statewide, and in 1885 the state legislature passed an act that made all firearm owners must have a license from their county sheriff if they were to own more than one pistol or revolver. By 1907, there had been enough progress made in Californication that the state legislature considered abolishing this licensing requirement altogether. However, due to public concern over crime rates being suppressed with these regulations in place, the measure was instead vetoed by Governor Gray Davis. The Gun Owners Association of California (GOA) successfully lobbied for passage of Proposition 8 which repealed this portion of the old licensing law on November 4th of that year. As a result of this change, all individuals now needed only a state driver’s license to purchase or own firearms – no longer needing any additional licenses from their counties! The Gun Control Act of 1968 finally ended all licensed handguns sales in California – meaning that everyone once again had to comply with these Regulations!

In 1937, Mechanicsburg Municipal Rifle League was formed in Farmersville to keep firearms accessible to all citizens. The league continued until 1959 when it merged into the California Rifle Association (CRA).

Farmersville is a census-designated place in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 2,531 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Victorville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first farmers in Farmersville were George and Nancy Pritchard who settled on a farm that was located now known as Old Bridge Road. In 1887, John Fenton bought land from the Pritchards and began to grow crops and sell goods from his farmstead. Other early settlers included Jens Rasmussen (1848-1924), Christopher Hickey (1858-1937), Wm. Ransom (1860-1929), Abram Laughlin (1865-1945), and Harry Durbin (1868-1950). The first post office was established in 1892; it was renamed Farmersville in 1907 after Major General James Kelleher, Commander of Military District IX which Included San Bernardino County. The first store opened at what is now Fourth Street and Main Avenue; it served as a mercantile business until 1913 when the first school opened for students grade one through twelve. In 1915, major changes took place with the arrival of World War I: Farmingdale entered into military service and many residents left to join up; however, most returned home once hostilities ended several months later. In 1922, Farmersville became part of the newly formed city of Victorville; by 1930, its population had reached 1,600 people living in 87 buildings scattered around three square blocks on Main Street between First and Second Streets. One hundred thirty years later - on July 15th of this year - Farmersville's 300th anniversary occurred with events including a parade down Main Street procession culminating with an open house at Brush High School where refreshments were served to all local dignitaries prior to festivities inside which featured music bythe Victor Valley Symphony Orchestra with display case contents from various Farmer's homes throughout town

In 1951, the original townsite of Farmersville were amalgamated with the town of Spanish Fork to form the new city of Spanish Fork. In 1984, the city of Spanish Fork merged with Vernon to form a new borough. Today, there are many small businesses and farms located throughout Farmersville.
