The firearms industry in Laguna Niguel, California dates back to the early 1800s. The area was first inhabited by the Tongva Native tribe and early Spanish explorers. In 1824, Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna issued an order that all Native Americans be converted to Catholicism or deported. This forced many of the Tongva people to abandon their land and migrate to Mexico City. In 1836, a group of Anglo-American pioneers arrived in Laguna Niguel from San Diego County. They were looking for a new home where they could start a new life and build their own business. One of these pioneers, George Hargrave, purchased 640 acres of land near Mission Bay for $5 per acre. This property would later become known as Laguna Niguel Rancho Seco (Laguna Niguel Ranch). The first firearms company in Laguna Niguel was founded by George Hargrave in 1837. It was called “Hargrave” Guns and Gunsmiths & Pistol Emporium (later renamed “George Hargrave & Sons”). The company manufactured handguns, shotguns, rifles and cannons. In 1840, George Hargrave married Lucy Whitehead and moved his business to what is now downtown Laguna Niguel. He continued manufacturing firearms until 1861 when he died at age 90 years old. His son John Hargrave took over the company until his death in 1936. During World War II, many American citizens traveled to California to help fight against Nazi Germany from 1941-1945. Many local businesses lost revenue because of this war effort; however, most gun manufacturers survived intact thanks to government contracts or military sales agreements dating back prior to the war. After the war ended, some firearm manufacturers decided it was time for a change and exited the market entirely while others reformed or expanded their operations into other industries such as ammunition production or aerospace engineering/manufacturing

Laguna Niguel, California is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 936 at the 2010 census. Laguna Niguel is located on the East Coast of San Diego and bounded by Imperial County to the east, Orange County to the south and west, and Qualcomm Stadium to the north. The city is home to University of California - Riverside (UCR) and UCHealth Medical Center. The area that now forms Laguna Niguel was first settled by Mexicans in 1847 as Rancho La Mesa de los Padres Mexican Land grant. In 1851, William Irvine purchased Rancho Rinconada from José Joaquin Morral for $5,000. Irvine built a ranch house and began sending out workers to cultivate land around Rinconada Creek. In 1857, following approval from the U.S. Government for a new county seat at San Diego, Irvine donated 550 acres (2 km²) of his land including Rinconada Creek Rancho to be given as free land to any person who could prove ownership thereof within three years after donation or purchase thereof by subscription with other citizens or their representatives; this became known as "Laguna Niguel". On July 14th 1860 – less than two weeks after Mexico's formal declaration of war on America – American forces burned down part of Adobe Walls onCamp Pendleton Peninsula during an event called "The November Insurrection." This event is commonly considered the beginning of American military occupation of what are now Southern California counties

This became the first commercial gun shirt manufacturing company in America! From here on out it was business as usual for Fitch's Gun Shirt Manufacturing Company. It wasn't until 1836 that they started making rifle shirts too! At this point they started producing rifles specifically for the U.S Cavalry Regiment which at the time was one of the most powerful armies on Earth! These military rifles were becoming increasingly popular due to their accuracy and firepower. In 1848, Fitch introduced their very first pistol shirt which quickly became an instant success! pistol t-shirts continued being produced through 1861 when firearms regulations ended up changing hands during The Civil War (Ulysses S Grant's presidency). As a result, much like all other businesses during this time period there were fluctuations in sales due to changes in government policy (and therefore prices!). However, even though pistols chambered only Forrster cartridges at this point pistols still took part in militia duty throughout much of 1861-1865 (the Union effort against The Confederate States) so pistol shirts continued production even though ammo availability decreased greatly!!! After The Civil War ended things changed once again as states began forming up into new nations...the US grew weary of having so many wars going on simultaneously!! So NRA member "gunslingers" everywhere took notice and soon enough there were thriving companies designing military t-shirts specifically designed for these avid shooters!!! By 1927 these gunslinging companies had completely replaced civilian manufacturer pistols t-shirts however Springfield Armory still makes handguns into today's day !!!ifle & shotgun designs are also occasionally produced !!!!
