Gun barrels history in Temecula, California began in 1882 when William S. Valentine and his partner, James Fenton, began manufacturing shotguns at the old Blind Boy Brewery on First Street. Valentine and Fenton produced a number of different types of shotguns including single-shot pistols, pump-action rifles, and even artillery pieces. In 1905, Valentine and Fenton sold their shotgun business to George Henniker who continued production until 1914. During World War I, Henniker produced more than 1 million rounds of ammunition for the United States military. After the war ended, Henniker reopened his shotgun company and produced a variety of firearms including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, and especially machine guns. In 1935, Henniker merged with American Arms Company which became known as National Firearms Corporation (NFC). Temecula, California is a small town in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 5,010 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Temecula River and it is part of the Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Temecula were Spanish missionaries in 1769. The name "temecula" means "riverbank." A post office called Temecula was established in 1872, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1912, Temecula became a city. The population grew rapidly during World War II because of the military base that was established there by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, which included Camp Doheny (later Redlands Army Air Field) and other nearby facilities. However, although Temecula initially prospered as a result of its war-related activities, by 1945 it had lost much of its wartime growth due to a combination of economic recession following World War II and reductions in military activity throughout Southern California. In 1965,Temecula joined Riverside County as part of the newly formed San Bernardino–Riverside Metro Statistical Area. Over time however, Temple City's status as an enclave within Temecula began to erode; Temple City's annexation into Temecula has been variously approved by the city council but never ratified by voters. As a result, Temple City's mayor continued to wield significant power over matters within the city limits despite being an unincorporated community outlying from downtown Temecila proper—a situation that has come to be known as "the temple city problem." In 1992 tensions between Temple City and TemECULA reached their peak when Mayor John Fenton ordered law enforcement officers not to enforce ordinances pertaining to prostitution near Main Street Methodist Church; this caused several residents who live adjacent to Stonewall Inn - where prostitution is legal -to stage protests against what they saw as mayoral autocratic behavior. On July 12th 2000 Mayor Fenton announced he would run for reelection but lost due largely to his lack of support from both his home district (in whichTemECULA lay outside his jurisdiction) and from Temple City itself

The first settlers in what would become Temecula arrived in 1887, when prospectors led by George Patton discovered oil shale near present-day Temecula. The men builtouses on pallets that they transported overland to their site on the bank of the river. In 1890, General Nelson A. Miles burned down two nearby villages as retribution for cattle rustling in his territory. This event helped spur development in what would become Temecula – landowners began leasing parcels of land to build homes and businesses while workers erected factories to produce goods needed for local consumption or export. In 1905,Temecula became an incorporated city under the name of Industry City after it was moved from its original location within Kern County boundaries to serve as the capital of Kern County as part of state legislation passed at that time mandating staggered county growths across California. By 1925, industry had declined and temeculara's growth slowed; however, it remained an important economic center until recent times due to its location close to Interstate 5 and other major resources including agriculture and water supplies

In 1864,Temecula became a city and in 1870, it annexed the neighboring towns of Riverside and Gorman. In 1912, Temecula became an independent city under the name of Orange County.
