Canon City is a town in Mesa County, Colorado, United States. The population was 10,898 at the 2010 census. The first camera made in Canon City was an 8x10 inch Kodak camera that was invented by Julius Kossmann and marketed by his company Kodak Photo Products. The camera was sold to J.C. Penney in 1912 for $2 per month. In 1915, the Camera Company of America (CCA) bought theCamera Company of America and merged it with the Eastman Kodak corporation to form Kodak Eastman Corporation. Rochester, New York-based EKEO Corporation purchased Kodak's share of CCA in 1922. EKEO became a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Kodak until its divestiture in 2006 by Emerson Electric Co., making Canon City one of only two towns worldwide to have both companies operate as subsidiaries within the same company (the other being Santa Clara, California). At first photography consisted solely of snapshot taken with hand-held cameras or Weeley field glasses; however early photographic equipment such as this 8x10 inch Kodak camera was quite expensive and not easily transported so studios were built up around courtyards or churches where shots could be taken from several angles at once for panoramic views (this technique is still used today on some high altitude photos). This type of photography would be done outdoors on fields or open meadows during springtime when there are no trees or vegetation nearby; these scenes can be seen on many old prints now stored inside museums across the U.S.. Canon City is a small city in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The population was 9,362 at the 2010 census. It sits on the banks of the South Platte River and is served by both Canon City-Centennial Airport and Canon City Municipal Airport. The first settlers to Canon City were Deputy U.S. Marshal John Laughlin and his brother-in-law, Major George Armstrong in 1871. In 1902, canonist Fransico Castillo became pastor of St. Patrick's parish which anchored what would become downtown Canon City. In 1923, he established The University of Notre Dame de Namur as a Roman Catholic institution for women students; this led to its current name - The University of Notre Dame de la Riviera (UDLR). In 1932, Mayor John Fenton appointed Jerald Hickey as water commissioner; Hickey's tenure saw much progress made when he helped develop Denver's first water system; however, he resigned from office following revelations that he had been involved with organized crime during his time as mayor. In 1941, President Franklin D Roosevelt designated Canon City as a ghost town because there was no evidence that residents remained living there after leaving government service or moving away for any other reason than retirement or pleasure reasons Tangraffi Report No 001/41). However, some people continued to live there even though Tangraffi Report No 001/41 did not apply to them; these individuals included businessman Harry Kappler and author James Baldwin DuBois Jr.). In 1955–1956 Drs Roy Prentice and Donald Grote developed Forest Park which later became home to Emmanuel Episcopal Church (now First Presbyterian Church) on Monument Avenue which helped create downtowncanoncity's pedestrian mall with shops, restaurants and services such as hair stylists etc.; Forest Park also has several tennis courts located near Forest Park Elementary School which opened in 1957 In 1965–1966 Don Noyes developed Village Green which serves as home base for many local businesses including Bottega Veneta Italian restaurant etc., while Village Green also contains numerous parks like Playscape Preschool & Aquarium located just off 5th Ave.; Also nearby is Applebeeswhich opened its doors in 1966 adjacent to Ford Amphitheater general store where rock bands played throughout early 1970s During this time period many high profile people such as Dick Clark filmed music videos at Ford Amphitheater apart from occasional Telemundo programming complete with talent shows some famous events that occurred during this time include: January 1971 - December 1972 - October 1974 - April 1975 - November 1976 Greetings from Aspen! The first photo camera, called an Old World Camera, was invented in 1839 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. It used two metal balls that were turned around a mirror to create images. Photography as we know it began with the development of photography equipment in the early 19th century including cameras and lenses. In 1865, George Eastman developed the first color film which allowed photographers to capture images with emotional content. After technological advances during World War II, photographic equipment became more advanced and affordable making it possible for civilians to take photographs at home without any prior experience or training. During the post-war period, photographic accessories such as flashlights and sunglasses became popular due to their ability to illuminate dark areas while preserving shutter speed for portraits or landscapes. Recently, electronic appliances have also become important in photography because they allow users to control both shutter speed and aperture while taking pictures thereby increasing stability when photographing people or objects

Canon City was founded in 1875 by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail. The town was named for Canon City, Kansas, where Morse had located the first telegraph line in the United States. The towns of transmitter sites were scattered throughout Colorado and Wyoming, but when Denver became a city in 1902, all of them came under its jurisdiction. Morse Avenue is one of Canon City's most well-known streets. It runs from South Capitol Hill to North Capitol Hill and has been called "the heart of the town." In 1903, when Denver became an incorporated city, it passed an ordinance making canoncity an official name for the whole municipality.
