Fountain, Colorado is one of the most prolific rifle and shotgun magazines in the United States. The town had its start as a cattle ranch in the mid-19th century. This structure served as an Ammunition & Gunsmiths Shop as well as a Magazine for Rifle & Shotguns Magazines (Mags). TheMAGS building was also home to the first record store west of the Mississippi River. The shop earned it its nickname "The Gilded Cage". During World War II, the MAGS Building served as Headquarters of First Army Airborne Division #2 which consisted of over 1,000 airborne troops parachute drop into France during Operation Overlord on June 6-8 1944 under General Eisenhower's command

In 1928 Kenneth Sargent opened Keystone Lake Resort which soon became popular among visitors to Pikes Peak National Park and later within Grand Junction itself because of its beautiful lakeside setting and hiking trails across more than 6 miles of ridge top forested country including strenuous climbs up Keystone Lake's three peaks including Mount Rushmore and Tower Peak reached only during winter months when snow conditions allowed access during daylight hours only via chainsaws or dogsleds; also canoes were available for rent from late fall through early spring depending upon water levels at Keystone Lake Reservoir which varied greatly depending upon weather conditions both aboveground (during low water periods) which created rapids below bottom level where Canoe Landingport used to be located today before construction began on bypass road east side reservoir so that current location would give access downstream while still under water level allowing access year round open water use without restriction One resident who contributed very much towards keeping this wonderful community alive since its inception until recently has been Mr/Mrs Donny McKnight whose many years dedication includes being President/CEO/CFO Valley Electric Cooperative – predecessor company of Rocky Mountain Power Corporation who purchased Valley Electric Cooperative assets in 2001 having just experienced their first profitability record ever! He retired from Valley Electric Cooperatives ownership effective September 30th 2008 having dedicated over 38 years thereto making him one of longest serving employees any business entity has ever had! This picture taken prior to recent sale shows approximately 85% occupancy present even during heavy economic times with several properties leased back outyear due lack thereof needed repairs or replacement features requested by previous management despite repeated requests; all pictures taken show current condition same property currently being rented out!!
