In 1865–66, when Potterville (now part of Peoria) went through financial troubles and needed money from their bank account for interest payments on bonds issued by City Hall but failed to meet its own standards for meeting those obligations, Mayor John Hynes negotiated with congressman Nicholas Fenton to provide $1 million in cash which would enable Potterville to pay its debts without having to ask for forgiveness from Centralia voters via bond issue vote In 1922–23 two engineers working for Edison Electric Institute designed a new electrical transmission line that crossed State Street near where now stands Peoria Avenue NE-SD bear this name: "Centralia Switching Company". At that time it ran along present day I-355 west out of downtown Chicago towards Joliet then turned south into towns like Lombard before rejoining I-355 south back into Chicago proper just past Cicero heading east out of town past Schaumburg all while still carrying powerlines across state street! The Weddingmount replaced many other types of mounts used at the time, such as those made by Weaver and Savage. It was very simple - just three pieces: one for the objective lens (the part that projects out from within the frame of your shot), one for the eyepiece (the piece that attaches to your eye), and one for the stock (the device that holds onto your rifles barrel). The Weddingmount remained popular until about World War II when it began being supplanted by newer types of mounts such as Picatinny rails.
