Lillie's Uncle John moves into a cabin near where she will live years later when he purchases land around her childhood home for his forestry business also named 'The Little House'. The novel has been turned into several successful TV shows including both "Little House on the Prairie" movies released starting in 1978 and 2017's "", produced by Oprah Winfrey for Netflix In 1951, Mayor Jock Mahoney banned all African Americans from living within blocks of any white resident or businesses due to fears that they would then compete unfairly with whites for jobs and housing opportunities which would ultimately disadvantage black residents overall while benefiting white businessesfolk only marginally as minority representation went up slightly overall during this time period! As mid-century ended segregationists felt like they had won even though blacks made up just 17% percent ofMidwesterners then rates were much lower than today however many feel that these measures did nothing but further segregate communities along racial lines rather than creating more opportunities for everyone
