Roselle is a small town in LaSalle County, Illinois, United States. The population was 3,171 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The name "Roselle" originated from the nearby Rose Tree or "Rosie Red." A post office was established in 1881 and named for Mrs. Fanny Keyes of Rose Tree Township. In 1907, the present-day town of Roselle was organized from parts of four other townships: Bloomfield Township (northwest corner), Deerfield Township (east side), Niles Township (southwest corner) and West Side Township (southeast corner). According to the 2010 census, Roselle has a total area of ; all land. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,986 people, 1,141 households, and 711 families residing in the village. The population density was 646.9 people per square mile (248.4/km²). There were 1,291 housing units at an average density of 269.5 per square mile (107.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98% White and 2% African American; Hispanic or Latinoof any race were 0%.

In order to improve upon this method, one man named Nicholas-Jacques Conte developed an improved mirror called “The Reflector Telescope” in 1784. This device used mirrors instead of small mirrors which allowed it to capture more light than either of its predecessors did. It also had better stability since it didn’t require someone else to hold it steady while looking through it. In 1824, another man named Cornelius Cardan developed an improved mirror called “The reflecting telescope” which he called “The Beaumont Telescope” because its manufacturer was then located near Beaumont-sur-Mer in Normandy (France). This instrument used both small and large mirrors which gave it much greater resolution than either earlier telescopes did. Additionally, Cardan found ways to stabilize his instruments so that they weren’t subject to errors caused by atmospheric disturbances or other factors outside of his control. Despite these advances, however, all three aforementioned devices were basically unsuccessful due to their poor optics quality and unstable operation. Eventually, Cardan decided against continuing development after finding several problems with his new design including problems with focusing ability and image stabilization; both of which were essential for using his telescopes properly). Eventually, the invention of modern optics led to greatly improved results with optical instruments thanks largely to Nicholas-Jacques Conte and Cornelius Cardan!

Roselle, Illinois was a small town in Kane County, Illinois until the early 20th century when it became an important railroad junction. The town was founded in 1853 by Captain James H. Rose and his family as a landing on the Chicago Central Railroad. The first store and post office were built in the town in 1854. By 1865, Roselle had a population of about 100 people. The Chicago Central Railroad acquired the Townsquare Mining and Manufacturing Company in 1875, which led to increased production at the local mines and factories. The company also established a schoolhouse in 1870, which served as the community's first library. In 1888, General Electric purchased Roselle's namesake company for $10,000. In 1905, General Electric merged with Westinghouse Electric Company to form GEICO Corporation. With this merger came new opportunities for growth in the electrical industry; Roselle became one of GEICO's key locations for manufacturing light bulbs and other Electrical Products products from 1926-1970.GEICO also invested heavily in infrastructure development throughout Kane County over this time period; including building two high schools (Roselle High School opened its doors in 1922) and several churches (including First Presbyterian Church). In 1970, GEICO sold its assets to American Radio Corporation (ARCO) for $1 billion USD; making Roselle one of ARCO's largest divestitures ever during its history. Since then, little has changed at the small town - except for growing attention given to it by historians who focus on its role within GEICO's history and culture
