By 1860, all of what is now McHenry County had been organized as Ross Township with headquarters at present day First Street and North Avenue. During the late 1800s various entrepreneurs began developing properties here including Cyrus McCormick & Sons (a manufacturer of agricultural implements), Bendix Airplane Company (manufacturer of planes), J P Morgan & Company (merchant bankers), A&W Restaurants Incorporated (restaurant chains) and several other companies that manufactured goods or services within their respective industries throughout Illinois at that time. These businesses brought jobs prosperity to many residents while also providing investment opportunities for future generations by creating new businesses adjacent to existing ones which would continue producing high quality products even after acquisitions or mergers by competitors occurred over time - something that continues today as central business districts have become increasingly globalized with multiple manufacturing plants scattered around different countries across continents! Morisone then shipped 2 miles upstream whereupon starting January 16th 1916 USNS Heraldic Eagle lost her masthead aft mooring chain hitting an underwater rock disabling her engine forcing her return towering New Orleans Industry Shipping Linecontainer #534 lifeboat crewman William E Griggs RN chartered HMS Severn towed her ashore ... eventually causing $1 million worth of damage done .....
