It is one of the few U.S. cities with more than 2,000 residents who maintain an airgun shooting program as part of their civic culture (the others are Anchorage, Alaska and Wichita Falls, Texas). In 1928 Air Service company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company creating what would become Americanairguns Incorporated (AIG). At AIG many innovative products were created including the world's first pellet gun called "The Pistol" which was introduced in 1932 and remains popular today among airgun enthusiasts worldwide! The years following World War II were very difficult for airguns due to regulations put into place by both government officials and sportsmens groups; however, through hard work by employees at AIG and investment from private investors AIG was able to continue developing new products such as basic single shot pistols and high power rifles that remain popular today!

On July 25th 2001, two nights after terrorist attacks against New York City killed thousands people and injured millions more, Gary Police Department officers responded to a series of disturbances throughout downtown including reports of looting and arson around 5 p.m.. When they arrived on scene they found scenes similar to those seen three days earlier in Manhattan–most notably high levels of destruction with structures broken into; however there were no injuries or arrests reported as a result of this response from GPD officers alone In November 2006, Mayor Greg Ballard announced that he would not seek reelection due to term limits set by the Indiana Constitution which he had previously supported but later said he regretted because running for office may have given him an advantage over other candidates who did not support such limitations Gary has been ranked second best place for living in America according to Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine twice since 2006- once in 2009 (before Mayor Ballard announced his retirement) and again in 2013 (after taking office). This list ranks Gary based on metrics such as cost-of-living index score (1), liveability index score (2), job growth index score (3) andappiness index score (4).
