The plant produced over 2 million rounds per year including both reloadable brass cartridges (primer) and lead-based shot cartridges such as .222 Remington (Winchester). Today, ammo production takes place at two other nearby plants: One located in Red Wing and another located near Duluth in Hibbing. These plants produce different types of rounds including handgun bullets (9mm Parabellum), rifle bullets (.270 Winchester), shotgun pellets (12 gauge) as well as projectiles for artillery/mortars such as 155mm Howitzer Rounds. Ammunition products from these plants are distributed throughout Minnesota via local distributors and retailers statewide

A post office was established at Otsego on December 12th, 1854, by J.P. O'Rourke from Green BayWisconsin with mail service beginning on January 1st of that year. On May 15th 1870 USPost Office Henrietta were opened at Otsego with mail service continuing until October 6th 1935 when it changed its name to Minneapolis-StPaul because it then shared borders with Saint Paul city limits (the present day metropolitan area). It wasn't until November 9th 1912 when an act passed by the United States Congress designated all of west central Minnesota as part of county government within Dakota County; this included much of what is now eastern Mitchell County including current day Otsego County which became official on February 14th 1916 via an act known as An Act to Consolidate Dakota and Ramsey Counties - effective March 3rd 1916 (). On March 3rd 1916 an act known as An Act To Consolidate Dakota and Ramsey Counties - effective March 3rd 1916 - created a new township called Otteson Township within present day Otsego County which would eventually become a full county municipality on July 1st 1959 following approval by voters via Referendum ballot measure known as “An Act to Consolidate otterton Township into a Municipality” . After more than three decadeslong struggle between supporters and opponents over whether or not to make OTSEGO COUNTY AN OFFICIAL COUNTY MUNICIPALITY IT WAS APPROVED BY VOTERS ON JULY 1ST 1959 THROUGH A REFERENDUM BALLOT MEASURE KNOWN AS “AN ACT TO CONFINANCE OTTERTON TOWNSHIP INTO A MUNICIPALITY” . Today’s residents living within today's boundaries of modern day Otteson Township remember how difficult it was back then to argue for something as simple as having their own municipal government rather than deal with counties that didn't fully understand their needs – but they are proud members of today's community that has continued growing since 1959 despite some challenges along the way!

The first settler in what is now Otsego County was John Hennepin in 1854. The name "Otsego" was given by Captain George Foulke for the headwaters of the Duluth River which flow through it. The town and county were organized on July 29, 1887 by order of the Territorial Legislature from parts of Knox County and Presque Isle County. On November 25, 1907, Otsego's incorporation as a township made it one of the last towns incorporated in Minnesota before its statehood as a state in 1912. In 1915 Otsego became part of an enlarged Ramsey Municipality when that municipality was created from portions of Knox and Dakota Counties combined with Muskegon Heights and White Earth Township). In 1920, Otsego went dry due to heavy rains during World War I which damaged many farms; however, there have been several periods since then when water levels have remained high enough to allow farming operations despite low flow rates caused by floods or drought conditions elsewhere in the county or within neighboring counties. A large millinery located near downtown (now known as First National Bank) began operating as a textile mill after being built on land donated by James Girdwood in 1892; it continued operation until 1951 when it closed due to competition from other mills and automation advances.
