Bellefontaine Neighbors is a town in White County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,644 at the 2010 census. The Carnegie Library of Bellefontaine Neighbors was organized in 1892. It is one of the few Carnegie libraries still open and serving its original purpose as a library for the town. The first settlers to Bellefontaine were Alexander McNaught and his family who arrived in 1777 from Scotland. They named their new home "Bellefontaine" after Belle-Île on Long Island, where they had been evacuated during the American Revolution. In 1802, John Todd settled in what is now BellefontaineNeighbors after purchasing land from McNaught. He built a log cabin and started farming the area which he called "Todd's Prairie." In 1810, he married Margaret Welsh and moved to Illinois with her. They had two children: John Todd (1811-1875) who farmed in Bellefontane Neighborhoods until his death at age 82 years old; and Margaret Welsh (1812-1886), also known as Marge Todd or Maynard Welsh, who served as justice of peace in White County from 1836-1915 and died at age 94 years old on July 3rd, 1915. In 1834 Yellow fever pandemic struck White County causing many residents to leave their homes for fear of catching the disease. Many people lost their lives including John Todd who died on October 5th that year while touring parts of TX with his son John Tompkins III (baptized December 2nd 1830 – died August 11th 1882). On October 6th 1840, when all other families living within a radius of three miles around Todd's Prairie returned home safe and sound after being absent during this time period due to yellow fever pandemic,[1] Mrs.(Marge)Todd(née Welsh) purchased 320 acres near present day BelleFontaine Neighborhoods from Michael Sprague[2] for $20 per acre.[3][4][5] She renamed her tract "Bellefontain Neighbors" after her late husband’s birthplace on Long Island.[6] By 1840 there were over 100 residents living within three miles of BelleFontaine Neighbor’s main square located just south of current day Main Street between First Avenue eastward to Third Avenue northward along South Park Road eastward to present day Eighth Street westward across Seventh Avenue into White County proper.[7] Mrs.(Marge)Todd(née Welsh) donated 160 acres northwest corner lot towards Neely Road west sideof property lineFt Worth Township 4 lots thence by road northeast corner lot next right hand side remaining she donated 15 acres additional according then existing survey….This total area now includes Moody Rd./Neely Rd., an addition extending northeasterly about 8 feet below grade containing lots 21 & 22 sold by deed date Apr 14 1912 with plat map attached…..From these initial surveys it appears that Mrs.(Marge)Todd(née Welsh)'s donation consisted chiefly of 640 acres +/-160 which comprised tracts lying immediately east & southeast Of Main Street/Belle Fontane Square/Original District boundaries now included In tracts bordering On Clearwater River abutting On Southeast Quarter inch part Of Home Of Michael Sprague Surveyed Lands & Now occupantially appertaining To saidMrs.(Marge)Todd(née Welsh)'s Donation except For About 20 Acres Which Is Approximate Size Of Lots 21 And 22 At Existing Location Near Moody Rd./Neely Rd.– This Area Contains Lumber Yard belonging To Mr.(J H.)Wright Owning 100% thereof….It should be noted That Some Ground Which Was Taken From Claim #21 As Well As Claim #22 By Means Of A Wrecker Plough Found Thereon Still Lies Under The Surface Between Frontage On HomeOf Mr.(J H.)Wright And Property Lines OF Ft Worth Township Line And Saidlikened To That Site Where True Soil Again Appears Along With All Trees Presently Present Thereon Just Above The Water Line When situatd Before Gold Rush….Aftermath Of Civil War…All But One Lot In propriety Changed hands Including Claim 25 A Better View From Home Place Today Over Lake Erie—That Lot Was SoldTo George Fenton Jr., Real Estate Developer Who BoughtItFor $2,- Its Current Location Is obscured Behind Goodyear Tire Company building Also Known As 400 block OF Eighth St.— Aftermath roar cessation legitimate agriculture commenced Here plowing became difficult so much so that Wheelwright Brothers operate flour mill heretoday .Accordingly This Paper Continues Below— One interesting fact about early white county life is that not all citizens received government assistance through food stamps or welfare programs like social security or Medicare because those areas were more developed than what was available in rural white counties at that time! On April 14th 1912[8], Marge Todd sold 640 acres surrounding Bellefontaine Neighbors community center for $20 per acre to Michael Sprague[9]. Sprague named his tract "Belle fontane neighors".[10] By 1840 there were over 100 residents living within three miles of BelleFontaine Neighbor’s main square located just south of current day Main Street between First Avenue eastward to Third Avenue northward along South Park Road eastward to present day Eighth Street westward across Seventh Avenue into White County proper.[7][11][12][13][14]. sprague donated 160 acres northwest corner lot towards Neely Road west sideof property lineFt Worth Township 4 lots thence by road northeast corner lot next right hand side remaining she donated 15 acres additional according then existing survey….This total area now includes Moody Rd./Neely Rd., an addition extending northeasterly about 8 feet below grade containing lots 21 & 22 sold by deed date Apr 14 1912 with plat map attached…..From these initial surveys it appears that sprgage generously gifted 640 acres +/-160 which comprised tracts lying immediately east & southeast OfMain Street/Belle fontane Square/Original District boundaries now included In tracts borderingOn Clearwater River abuttingOn Southeast Quarter inch partOf HomeOf Michael Sprague Surveyed Lands&Now occupantially appertainingTo saidMrs.(Marge)Todd(née Welsh)[15],exceptForAbout 20 Acres WhichIs Approximate SizeOf Lots 21 And 22 At Existing Location Near Moody Rd./Neely Rd.– This Area Contains Lumber Yard belongingToMr.(J H.)WrightOwning100% thereof….It should be noted That Some GroundWhichWas TakenFrom Claim #21 As WellAs Claim #22ByMeansOFATwreckerPloughFoundThereonStill liesUnderTheSurfaceBetweenFrontageOnHomeOfMr.(J H.)WrightAndProperty LinesOF Ft Worth Township LineAndSaidlikenedToThatSiteWhereTrueSoilAgainAppearsAlongWithAllTrees PRESERVED THEREON JUSTAboveTheWaterLineWhen situatdBefore Gold Rush….Aftermath OF Civil War…AllButOneLotIn proprietyChangedhands IncludingClaim 25ABetterView FROM Home PlaceToday Over Lake Erie—ThatLotWasSoldToGeorgeFentonJr.,RealEstateDeveloperWhoBuyzedItFor$2,-ItsCurrentLocationIsobscuredBehindGoodyear TireCompanybuildingAlsoKnown AS400blockOF EighthSt.—Aftermath roar cessation legitimate agriculture commenced Here plowing became difficult so much sothat Wheelwright Brothers operate flour mill heretoday…….. Bipedalism is the ability of an organism to move along two legs, typically with a pair of these legs being used as a single unit. The term has been used in many different ways, but generally speaking bipedalism refers to formations which include taxa that walk on two legs. A variety of animals can be considered bipedal, from simple creatures like cockroaches and nematodes to more complex creatures like whales and elephants. The first known examples of modern humans appeared about 120,000 years ago and most likely walked on two feet. At this point in human history there were no other forms of life on Earth that walked on two legs. This lack of evidence does not mean that bipedality was not present before then however; some scientists believe that early humans may have simply lacked the technology to walk on two feet. If true, this would make them one of the earliest groups ever to adopt a bipedal lifestyle. Some researchers argue that bipedality is not only present in modern humans but also in certain archaic human species such as the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. These teams believe that early humans may have adopted a more upright posture as they underwent changes during their evolution which led to greater mobility and strength. While it is still difficult to determine whether or not this theory is true, it provides an interesting perspective on how our ancestors might have looked compared to today's humans.

Bellefontaine Neighbors is located in Clay County, Missouri. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. Bellefontaine is part of the Springfield-Branson Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Village of Bellefontaine was platted in 1892 and named for Bellefontaine, Ohio, a small town in central Ohio that had been removed from the state by prohibitionists during the 1880s. Bellefontaine is a largely agricultural community with several large families farming tobacco, corn, hay and other crops. A few dozen people live in single-family homes built before World War II or since then as well as several hundred Mobil home units which were converted into apartments after the war. Most people here work on farms or in manufacturing; two small businesses are active: one provides groceries and services to residents near its store and one manufactures tires for cars. The village has two schools: One public elementary school serving grades kindergarten through eighth grade (grades nine through twelve are offered at an alternative high school), and one middle/junior high school (grades eleven through sixteen) which serves students from nearby towns as well as some students from outlying villages who attend Bellefontaine High School on regional buses. There are also three churches: Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (founded 1922), First Baptist Church (founded 1944), and United Methodist Church (established 1961). Bellefontayne's ZIP code is 62334
Bipedalism is the only known form of human locomotion which uses two separate legs to move forwards and backwards. This type of locomotion is used in a few different ways, but the most common way it is used is as an adaptation to agile movement through tight spaces or on rocky surfaces. Bipedalism has been around for over 350 million years, and it appears that it has evolved independently many times. It was first mentioned by Herodotus in his work The Histories (479 BC). In contrast to other forms of locomotion, bipedalism does not require a major change in the body architecture or function; instead, it relies on adaptations to running on two feet. However, there are some key differences between bipedalism and other forms of locomotion that have helped it evolve into the dominant form we use today. For one, bipedalism allows for a greater range of motion than any other form of locomotion; this means that individuals can move more quickly and distances can be covered with greater ease. Additionally, bipedalism gives humans an advantage when engaging in complex tasks such as hunting or gardening because they can effectively use both their upper and lower limbs simultaneously to reach objects high up in trees or below ground level. Finally, because bipedality allows for greater balance while moving compared to any other type of locomotion, individuals are better able to control their movements when engaged in hazardous activities such as racing or dance performance.
Bipedalism first appeared in the fossil record about 350 million years ago.
Bellefontaine Neighbors was a small town in Pike County, Missouri, United States. The community was located on the east side of Bellefontaine Creek, about two miles north-northeast of downtown St. Louis. It had a population of about 350 people in 1850. Bellefontaine Neighbors was founded in 1827 by John Bellefontaine and his wife Anna Beeson Bellefontaine. John Bellefontaine arrived from Kentucky with his family and built a cabin near the creek where they later lived. In 1830, he married Anna Beeson and their first child was born at the cabin: John Aiken Bellefontaine Jr. In 1832, they moved to what is now northwest St. Louis and began to sell land around the creek for farming purposes; their farmstead included a house, barns, outbuildings, and several cows that were used for milk production until after World War II when cars became more common and milk production ceased completely. In 1840, Anna Bellefontaine died; her husband did not remarry until after her death because he could not find someone who would take him on as a tenant farmer during the Civil War because landlords refused to lease land to Union troops without Confederate representation on it (Landlord discrimination against Confederates continued into the postwar period). Their second son also died young in infancy so John Aiken BelleFontain Sr., took over running the family farmstead until his father’s death in 1865 due to age 85 years old (John Aiken Bel fontain Sr.) At present day there are no living descendants of either parent remaining in Belle Fontain Neighbors except for one granddaughter who lives in St Louis; she is 88 years old and has no children living within easy driving distance of her home.) After Anna Beeson's death John Aiken Beaufort Sr., took over running the household but decided that he wanted more control over all aspects of life including education for his children since he felt that women should not have any say whatsoever regarding government or educational matters which he saw as an infringement upon man's right to be self-sufficient both as an individual and as a group entity – something that had been prevalent among men since early times despite some protests from women such as Marie Antoinette). Accordingly from this point onward JOHN AIKEN BELFORTON SR.'S NAME BEING INDICATED AS THE OWNER OF THE FARMHOUSE AND ALL OTHER LAND IN BELLE FONTANE NEIGHBORS
