His wife lived with him until her death in 1840; after her death, she was buried beside him at Kinnickinnic Avenue Station Historic District#1A . Muhlenberg's successor as owner of "Wildwood" was Isaac Norris , who bought additional land east of Kinnickinnic Avenue between 1830 and 1836 for $6 per acre (0·60 hectares). Norris developed this land into an agricultural district which included mills powered by water power from nearby creeks or streams. he also constructed several homes including Oneonta House #2B on Knickerbocker Road . The first post office called "Fayette" opened on November 5, 1865 at Norris' farm south of present-day Kinnickinnic Avenue . It served as an address only until December 1, 1870 when it became known as "Wildwood." On May 15th 1893, Wagoner J Fenton opened a general store at what is now Old Hickory Lane . That store remained open until 1956 when it closed due to budgetary difficulties within local government organizations around that timepiece period
