Bullets have been a part of North Platte, Nebraska history for many years. Bullet holes can be seen in the city's downtown buildings from the early 1800s, and the first paper company west of the Missouri River was established in 1868 in what is now North Platte. By 1910, North Platte had reached a population size of 2,000 people with over 350 businesses located in downtown area alone!
