In 1984, UAC partnered with Albany Arsenal Ammunition Plant where they produced ammunition using new methods that allowed them to increase production by 50%. Oneida, New York is a small town in westchester county, New York. It is located on the east side of the Finger Lakes and is a primarily agricultural community with some light industrial activity. The population was 9,723 at the 2010 census. Oneida was founded in 1814 as a trading post by Loyalists fleeing British rule in Canada. The town was originally called "Owen's Corners" after Captain Owen who had first established it oncn July 10, 1814. The name changed to Oneida in honor of General Jonathan Young who fought against British forces during the American Revolution. After the signing of the Treaty of Paris ending the Revolution, General Young divided his land into several parcels and gave one to each new settlement he founded. In 1822 Oneida became an incorporated village under the jurisdiction of Seneca County. The first store opened in Oneida on October 1, 1824 by Arent Duchamp and his wife Esther Duchamp under license from Seneca County commissioners Cornelius Vanderbilt and John Smeaton Jr.. Iowa–born banker Jacob Riis donated land for what would become Central Park which he named for General Jonathan Young and his wife Catharine (Katherine) de Witt Harriman along with other donations totaling $5 million dollars towards its creation. In 1865 Andrew Johnson became president of America and ordered all federal buildings across the country be converted to Protestant Christianity as part of what is known as Head Start programs beginning with OnesIDA schoolhouse being converted into a daycare center; this event helped start mass migration to cities throughout America starting in earnest when people began coming to find work opportunities as factories were opening up everywhere else due to prohibition laws passed by President Johnson limiting liquor sales). When President Franklin D Roosevelt came into office following World War II there was pressure put on him by business people wanting more government spending lest America enter another depression like prior administrations had done so unsuccessfully! Roosevelt announced plans for building two massive Works Progress Administration projects known formally as The New Deal but popularly called simply The WPA because its main purpose was creating jobs rather than improving society!) but these projects never materialized due largely to money shortages caused by newly introduced inflation rates! As late as 1955 much later historian Arthur Meeks wrote: “There can be no question that [Roosevelt] intended welfare reform not just because it suited His political beliefs – although that may be part also – but also because it could easily have been turned into yet another populist welfare measure” (Meeks 1945). A few weeks after Franklin D Roosevelt's inauguration one thousand workers assemble at Ford's Rouge factory near Dearborn Heights Michigan for their grievance hearing concerning working conditions there; this led eventually toEEOC v Ford decision awarding them forty days' worthof pay plus back wages (Dehn 1948). With world war II looming large many Americans decided it would be better if they stayed home rather than go off fighting a battle they couldn't win!
