Since the late 1800s, firearms and light technology have been intertwined. By creating short ranges between aircraft and enemy combatants through use of gun lasers, pilots could lock onto their prey without having to rely on visual sightings or radar signals. Later advancements leading up to today's fully automatic rifle systems has included advances in optics so that even small arms can be engaged at long ranges without taking unnecessary risks with accuracy or life constituent endangerment

Berea is a city in the Ohio Valley, in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is an unincorporated community located in Perry County, Kentucky, part of the Louisville metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, Berea had a population of 23,070. The first European settlement on the present-day site of Berea was made by David Wilkinson and his family in 1799. The town was named after Berea College, which was founded by trustees from Transylvania University in 1813 as one of several colleges established within what would becomeKentucky. In 1869, whenKY became a state, Berea became its capital and remained so until 1907 when Frankfort took over that role. From 1907 to 1910, KY hosted the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament at Madison Square Garden; Berea served as one of four cities (along with Lexington (Ky.), Louisville (Ky.), and Dayton (Ohio)) bidding for the event which eventually went to New York City. In 1925–1927, Berea played host to both the American Legion World Indoor Championships and Eastern Amateur Athletic Union championships; these were also its only major events during those years because it did not participate in any college or professional sports leagues until 1978 when it joined forces with nearby Bowling Green to formthe Greater Bowling Green Area Professional Sports League (GBGPPSL). Berea, Ohio is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Lorain County. The population was 66,569 at the 2010 census. The name "Berea" is thought to derive from the Lenape word beres (meaning place where deer are found). The first settler in what is now Berea was Nicholas Hennepin in 1813. It wasn't until 1824 that a small community called Sycamore was founded by two men, George Stephenson and Solomon Northrup, who were laying track for the Erie Canal. That same year, Berea became part of the newly formed United States when it acquired land along the Great Lakes as part of its westward expansion. In 1835, Berea's first school opened; it would remain in operation until 1909. In 1840, an iron works was established on High Street and soon became one of America's most successful businesses; it still operates today as Babcock & Wilcox Iron Works Inc.. In 1846, Mayor David Ladd organized a town meeting to discuss creating a town government for Berea; this proposal was seconded by John Pritchard and quickly passed with only six dissenting votes! On July 1st of that year, Berea officially became a town! By 1870, there were over 200 residents living in Berea – it had grown so rapidly that First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln made an appearance at a public dinner held by town fathers to toast their progressivism! In 1865-66 Union forces under General Ulysses S Grant marched into central Ohio during the American Civil War seeking to dislodge Confederate forces from within; while they did manage to take some key towns and strongholds such as Athens (which capitulated on September 12th), they were ultimately unsuccessful in driving Confederate troops out of central Ohio altogether. However, due to strategic positions taken by Union forces around downtown Berea – which allowed them control over key transportation routes inside and outside of town – they managed to keep much of central Ohio behind their lines throughout the war years... something which many people consider one of their greatest accomplishments! On November 9th 1901-10th President William McKinley attended an agricultural fair at Lima City Hall hosted by Mayor David Ladd in order to increase trade between Cleveland and Toledo through agriculture: this event would later be known as "The McKinley Fair". On October 6th 1912-7th 1913 local voters decided not to annex Defiance Township into Bereas– instead choosing instead to referendum on whether or not farmland should be donated specifically for use within our city limits alone (this referendum saw 71% approve changing our zoning laws so that farmland could be annexed into our city limits)! This act demonstrated how important cities like ours are not just bedroom communities but rather hubs for commerce and culture - something we continue To experience today!
