Franklin, Ohio is home to the world's oldest armory and one of the most renowned weapons manufactures in the world. In 1851, Mr. Ebenezer Cooke opened his costume store on High Street near State Street in what is now known as downtown Franklin. He began selling Firearms through his store until 1861 when he moved to 9th and Elm Streets where he continued to sell firearms until his death in 1865. From 1861-1865, Furniture manufacturer George Sturges operated from 3rd & Vine Streets north of State Street between Wright Avenue and Elm Street (now Huntingdon Avenue). His business generated so much revenue that it allowed him to build an extensive gun range south of Wright Avenue which still exists today - The George Sturges Armory Complex (Hancock County Courthouse Annex). In 1892, Winchester Repeating Arms Company was founded inHot Springs Arkansas by two American mechanics named Edward Belknap Winchester (1823-1900)and Samuel Colt (1799-1845). After manufacturing their own revolvers starting with a model "Baby" revolver in 1857 they begin marketing their new product under three separate brand names: Winchester Repeating Arms Company; Browning Arsenal; Colt Firearms Corporation When World War I started on August 6th 1914 Henry Maud Montgomery became President United States because Woodrow Wilson had resigned office due to health reasons on February 14th 1913

On July 6, 1813, he issued an executive order authorizing construction of Fort Dearborn on the Scioto River about 15 miles (24 km) downstream from present-day Franklin for use by Ulysses S Grant during his campaign for president that year against popular Democratic candidate James K. Polk Jr.. In 1840, when both parties had merged into one political party under President John F Kennedy Sr., Franklin became part of that party's national headquarters located at 4270 Northern Boulevard NW Suite 600 Washington D C 20036 USA The first store opened up at corner White Street and Third Avenue NW in downtown Franklins early 1800s which was run by John Waddell & Sons grocery store owners who also ran a bakery oven on White Street just north of current day Union Station Square across from City Hall Plaza On October 9th 1860 Franklins native son Abraham Lincoln was elected Vice President with 63% of the vote against percent won by Andrew Johnson Five days later Lincoln signed legislation establishing Erie Canal Company which would become one major railroad company operating along both coasts America Lincoln served four terms as President until November 4th 1865 when he resigned due to poor health After leaving office he returned to Illinois where he died three years later

Other major arteries leading into Downtown Franklin during this time were Third Street on the south side (now Lucas Avenue), Vine Street on the north side (now Market Street), Elmira Road on both sides (now Canal Road), Court House Square on Courthouse Plaza between Third and Vine Streets, as well as Post Office Square off Second Avenue near First National Bank building which functioned until 1898 when it was moved to its present location at Fourth and State streets adjacent to former Wright Air Force Base complex built there since World War II by George Hennepin Companies Inc., later renamed Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport Chainaweave Shopping Center As more people moved into downtown Franklin began becoming jammed up along Market Street between Vine and Elmira Streets; streetcars running down ThirdStreet quickly relieved some traffic problems while also providing easy access to most commercial areas without having to go upmarket or downmarket streets like Washington Boulevard where many stores had been built since pre-Civil War times including Jardine & York Hotel dating back to 1824 This situation lasted until 1958 when construction began on what is now CircleLink Bridge spanning over Delaware River just west of downtown Franklin – thus relieving some traffic congestion along MarketStreet while still allowing easy access across Delaware River for pedestrians In 1961 Franklins first high school graduated seniors ; East High School opened that year on Sciencewood Drive across from Central Library before moving into its current location on South Main Avenue in 1967 In 1969 city officials established a zoning ordinance for Downtown/Central Business Districts which limited development further south along 3rd St.; however new businesses soon cropped up near South Main Ave., especially after Interstate 71 was completed nearby making commuting easier By 1974 central business district zoning had become so restrictive that several large businesses moved out onto South Main Ave., giving way gradually for smaller shops started popping up starting with Italian restaurants beginning serving breakfast tacos until today's highly popular retail buildings begun popping up around 2000 including Sears Tower currently housing Macy's Department Store before moving out again towards I-71 facilities
