This new transportation system allowed residents access to jobs and education within minutes of their homes instead of hours away from downtown Cleveland. During these early years at University Heights, residents were able to enjoy all that Cleveland had to offer without having to leave their hometowns for fear of losing everything they loved about their home countrymen. As time passed and things changed within Ohio due to war efforts or economic conditions within cities like Cleveland - University Heights slowly lost some if not all its businesses but still managed to maintain its residential character until well into the 21st century. Today thanks largely to grants from government entities like HUD or MDAVE (Museum District Development Authority), UH has seen significant improvements both physically as well as economically throughout its history which can be seen firsthand across many areas surrounding campus such as North Campus/Marshall Hall which underwent a $25 million renovation project announced last year; new facilities have also been constructed on South Campus which houses administrative offices as well as athletics fields adjacent thereto; moreover renovations are currently underway on East Campus which will include new classrooms, housing for students awaiting construction permits etc.; furthermore recent additions have included an extensive parking garage beneath North Campus Martyrdom Drive providing ample space for students and employees alike during term times when demand is highest; finally community outreach initiatives have been implemented such as "UHDTown" - an online resource providing information about local events/programs happening near campus - this initiative has allowed residents greater exposure and involvement with UH beyond just attending class or research projects supported by various departments/units; furthermore ArtWalk has also become increasingly popular among locals with artisans selling creative items outdoors near campus
