Glenpool is a town in Osage County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa–Milton, OK Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in what is now Glenpool were farmers who arrived from Illinois in 1874. By 1907, most of the land in present-day Glenpool had been donated by John and Nannette Hixon to create a township for the residents of rural Osage County. In 1912, J.W. Grimes opened the first grocery store in the township and it soon became chairmanship for all local stores in the area until 1984 when he sold his interest to A&P Stores Incorporated which still operates one of the original stores today as "A&P's Glenpool". In 1916, entrepreneur Ephraim Goudreau set up an oil exploration company near present day Jenks with plans to drill into Mexico City reservoir then known as Pecos Nochiti (now called Red River). Goudreau later discovered that oil would be found much further east on some other properties in Osage County and so he decided to sell his interests back to Goudreau Petroleum Company which drilled and hydraulic fracturing operations began on 17 October 2009 within feet of Glenpool High School! The well has since been abandoned but provides us with an interesting history lesson(s) about this small town located just outside Tulsa metropolitan limits!

In 1916, Harry Glenpool sold his interest in the business to his brother Gilbert. The two brothers continued to operate their businesses together until they both died in 1935. Glenpool is located in Haskell County, Oklahoma, on the eastern edge of Tulsa County. It is a small town with only about 350 residents at its peak during the early 21st century. At its height, Glenpool had a post office, three schools, a grocery store and two churches. The townsite was developed primarily for cotton farming and logging operations which took place around the area until after World War II when those activities stopped due to exhaustion of resources. Today, Glenn Pool is an agricultural community that features several light industrial operations including one cattle slaughtering facility, four grain elevators and one veterinary clinic. There are also some housing developments scattered around town center as well as a few small businesses that continue to function despite being closed down during recent years due to lack of demand or other reasons. Overall, it remains an agricultural community with some heavy industry taking place nearby but it has not completely abandoned agriculture as many people still live here today because it provides jobs outside of agriculture while still having access to essential services like healthcare and education opportunities thanks to local government support programs like assistance for low-income families through SNAP benefits or special tax breaks available for certain types of businesses or farms).
Glenpool was founded in 1906 by a group of farmers. The town grew rapidly, and in 1916 it became the county seat. In 1930, Glenpool incorporated as a city. The city experienced significant growth during the years following World War II, and in 1970 it attained its current size.
