These events helped promote gun safety among civilians and politicians alike and allowed for much discussion about firearms within both institutions. Another source comes from an article published by Newsweek in 1959 entitled “The Pistol That Roamed America: Executive Trousers From 1797 To 1948″ which documents how different US Presidents used different firearms while living in office however it does not specifically mention firearm t-Shirts (McGowan).
