Hutto is a small town in Angelina County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Houston–Sugar Land metropolitan area. The town began as a post office called Humble on November 3, 1892. The name Hutto was taken from the Battle of Humble Creek near present-day Hutto. The first postmaster was John Crouch and the last postmaster was J.C. Smith in 1949. Hutto has been inhabited by Native Americans for over two centuries and it is now an agricultural center with corn, soybeans, cotton, cattle, pigs and horses being some of the most common crops grown hereabouts. In addition to its Rolex watch factory which opened in 1984 and employs over 350 workers - making it one of America's largest such factories - Hutto also boasts several other notable businesses including Michaels Department Store (now Macy's), betty Crocker's grocery store/cafeteria/bakery/, Ford dealership/gas station/, Applebee's restaurant/. The Kutta family have operated this location since 1903 when their ancestor Samuel Kutta moved from Missouri to Angelina County to farm land that he had bought from Judge John Waddington (). He added a blacksmith shop to the property in 1907 which served as his home until he died in 1915 aged 72 years old (). In 1950s Hutto boasted 2 churches but these were destroyed by fire in 1963 and 1969 respectively; however both structures still stand today as contributing factors to current day tourism around Huttoways '. Some residents attribute current nightlife activities nearby such as live music performances at local bars or nightclubs being what has brought new life back into this once struggling community recently ravaged by economic hard times (). The first type of holster known as a “breechblock” holster was created by John Brownell in 1853. This type of holster consisted of two pieces: an upper armored piece that fit over the gun barrel, and a lower part that rested against the user’s hip bones (the breech block). The breech block was attached to the upper armor by means of straps, typically made from heavy cloth or leather straps looped around the gun barrel itself. This type of holster became very popular among Confederate soldiers because it allowed them to carry their guns without fear that they would damage them while in action. However, this type of holster also had some drawbacks: It was difficult to adjust for firearms fluctuations which could cause them to move about uncontrollably; it required special attention when carrying firearms because they tended to bounce around; and it was often inaccurate because it did not allow for perfect alignment between firearm barrel and breech block causing misfires or other problems with fire control accuracy. It is located in the central part of the state and has a population of just over 10,000 people. In 1907, Hutto became the first county to be established in McLennan County. It was named for General James Houstoun, who served as Governor of Texas from 1879 to 1887.
Hutto was founded in 1836 by Will H. Hutto and his brother, John. The town was named after him because he had the first claim to the land that would become Hutto. Hutto's father, also named Will H., settled in what is now Hutto in 1824. In 1836, Hutto married Anna Maria Childers and they moved to Texas from Missouri. They started a general store and six-horse wagon business which prospered for many years. The couple also raised seven children. In 1907, AnnaMaria died of a heart attack at the age of 83 years old and Hutto remarried on October 12th, 1907 to Lola Dominguez who had been born in Mexico City on December 5th, 1886.
