Albertville, Alabama is a small town located in the state of Alabama. The population was 5,493 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Montgomery metropolitan area. The first scopes were made in Albertville by Mr. and Mrs. John Dickey in 1881. At that time, there were only two schools in Albertville and one farmer had a rifle but no scope so he used it to shoot pigeons. In 1892, Mr. Jethro Hardwick built the first sawmill in Alabamassa which produced lumber for shotguns and rifles from 1892-1913 while also manufacturing magnifying glass eyeglasses called “Nova” lenses from 1913-1959 and then as Rayban sunglasses from 1959-1996 until they discontinued production in 1996 due to poor sales performance; however, some pieces of equipment such as telescopes still remain today at Hardwick Manufacturing Company located on Highway 231 south of town (just west of where I currently live). In 1903, Dr. Samuel Hargrave developed an optoelectronic device which allowed him toView objects with great clarity even when outdoor light was limited or darkness prevailed; this technology would later be renamed "Astrovid" after him – making A&E history! In 1926, Wernher von Braun began development on the Braun Interplanetary Television system which would eventually lead to his invention of space travel! In 1957, two brothers named Royce and Leroy Lewis started manufacture of a new type of spotting scope called the Lewis & Clark model 1003C which became very popular! The optics quality was excellent while using high grade glass through an adjustable objective lens creating a magnification range up to 3x! These scopes continued being manufactured until 1984 when they finally stopped production because their objective lens design became too difficult to operate and maintain without benefit of gloves or protection against scratches! They built log cabins and started a small trade with surrounding counties. By the time of Jackson's presidency, Albertville had grown sufficiently to be chartered as a city on December 1, 1819. When Montgomery County was established in 1835, Albertville became its second county seat. During the American Civil War, Albertville sided with the Union side and prospered as a manufacturing center for munitions production. In 1865, however, when Mobile Bay fell to Confederate forces, most of downtownAlbertville became an open field surrounded by Confederate artillery batteries. The citizens undertook several months of hard labor constructing pontoon bridges over Mobile Bay to escape capture or destruction - an event that has been called "the greatest single act of heroism ever displayed by any people." Afterward, Albertville slowly regained its lost stature as a commercial center and experienced rapid growth during Reconstruction following the war. In 1930 it attained municipal status when it annexed part of nearby Decatur Township

The town never truly recovered and its population declined steadily until it reached its low point in 1960 with only 100 residents. In recent years, however, there has been a resurgence in interest for Albertville as a tourist destination due to its rich history and interesting architecture.
