From here on out, Gun Manufacturers became very successful$ In 1923 they boughtout rival company "Benge Arms" which made weapons for both military service ($15 per caliber) as well as civilian use.$ Their products soon caught on with other businesses within town $ As demand grew for these high quality firearms, Gun Manufacturers had no choice but continue producing top-of-the-line items until they went bankrupt in 1984.$ Today, many descendants of those original founding fathers still keep active in the business -manufacturing new handguns for customers nationwide!

Calera is a town in Marshall County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,848 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. The first settlers in what is now Calera were four men from Georgia who arrived in 1827. They cleared and built a cabin on the outskirts of town, which they named "Natchez". The name was later changed to "Calera" after General Andrew Jackson's defeat of Native Americans at Battle of Cowpens in 1798. In 1830, one year after the establishment of Marshall County, two men from Kentucky named John Gentry and James Hogg settled near Calera on land that had been donated by Judge Isaac Ewing. The town was platted in 1832 by Gentry and Hogg with fifteen lots bought by them from James Whitehead and others. The first courthouse was built in 1834 and operated until 1840 when it was burned down by Indians during the Red River War (1837-39). A new courthouse was erected between 1840 and 1847. A post office called "Natchez" opened on December 12, 1830, under order of Governor Robert Wise; it continued operation until February 8, 1861 when it was closed due to secessionist sentimentality over the Mexican–American War (1846-48). After Confederate forces burned down the original courthouse in 1847 as part of their campaign to suppress abolitionism within the Confederacy, business grew slowly until an railroad came through town in 1886 which caused increased growth rates for a period before rapid development led to economic stagnation beginning around 1990s. As recently as 2000s most residents still work outside their homes although some have entered into service with local governments including law enforcement or government services such as utility work or maintenance projects
The first European to ever settle in what is now Calera was a group of Spanish Franciscans who founded the Villa de los Conquistadores near the present day town in 1813. The area was part of Mobile County until it was organized into Jackson County in 1836.
