Millbrook is a town in Marshall County, Alabama, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is the location of Millbrook High School and Millbrook Baptist Church. The community is located on the Cumberland River near Birmingham. The town was platted in 1875 by Wm. H. Stephenson and named for James Millbrook, an early settler who had come to Mobile from Pennsylvania in 1821 with his family. In 1886, Stephenson donated 10 acres (4 hectares) of land to the town for use as a school ground and library square. The original mill building still stands within the limits of the current population center. In 1902, William Tilton purchased 4 acres (1 hectare) of property northeast of Millbrook for use as a village green and parkland called "Tilton Park". Tilton renamed it "Mill Brook". By 1916, all but two of the original homes had been destroyed in a fire that burned down most of Mill Brook Village; however, many new homes were built thereafter using money from local businesses which survived until 1984 when they were razed following arson attempts targeting their properties In 1951, Drayton Sargent donated land east of Millbrook along the Cumberland River for educational purposes only; this area became known as "Sargent Valley". At that time it consisted mostly of fields used by nearby schools and churches. However, after Sargent's death in 1973 all development ceased until 1994 when developer Donnie Ladd funded construction beginning on what would become known as "Mill Brook Manor" - now known as "Mill Brook High School", while also funding repairs to several churches along its border including Stroudsburg Baptist Church which still stands today adjacent to what was once known as Sargent Valley . According to 2010 census data there are 1,811 people living in Millburn Township statewide including 910 residing in Millburn High School District #2 which encompasses much or all of neighboring Marshall County; these totals do not include any residents located within other districts or counties such as Lowndes County where Fort Payne lies primarily

Millbrook is located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama and was first settled by families of English ancestry in the early 1800s. The town was originally known as Centerville and was founded on a millstream called Millbrook. The mill ran for many years until it burned down in 1885. The town got its name from the mill stream which locals used to call Mill Brook. The mill stream still exists today and is a popular fishing spot for local residents. The corn mills that were built in Millbrook were some of the earliest mills in Alabama. They operated until the late 1800s, when they were replaced by more modern mills. One of the most famous mills in Millbrook was the J&L Manufacturing Company which manufactured bicycles, radios, clocks, and other items until it closed its doors in 1969. Other notable businesses that have been located in Millbrook include an auto dealership and a grocery store. Today,Millbrook is home to a number of small businesses and restaurants which are responsible for keeping the community lively during these tough economic times. It's also home to two high schools - one public school and one private school - as well as several churches including First Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church. In addition, there are several parks within walking distance of the town center which offer plenty of opportunities for recreation such as swimming, playing ball, biking/hiking/running etc..
The mill was built in 1835 and continued to be used until the early 1900s. It is now a museum.
