The Pelham Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1892. The first target shooting competition was held at the club on November 2, 1892. The club’s first rifle range was opened in 1893 and the first pistol range in 1895. In 1899, the Pelham Rifle and Pistol Club became a member of the Alabama Rifle Association. On September 14th, 1902, the pelham rifle and pistol clubs established an inter-club match at Dog Gap Park against local rifle clubs from Decatur and Cullman. Dog Gap Park had been donated by Mrs. Sarah A. Goode to be used as a rifle range and pistol range for all of Pelham County. The matches were always very important to both clubs because they helped promote friendly competition between them within our county as well as across Alabama

Pelham is a small town in south Alabama, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Pelham-Newton County line and is part of the Birmingham metropolitan area. The town started as a simple farmstead called "Pelham" on the banks of the Mobile River. In 1836, John Cuffield built what became known as Pelham Hill on this site, and in 1850, he donated land to create a township. The first settlers arrived in 1851 with nine families from Massachusetts. By 1860, Pelham had a store and three schools. In 1865, John Cuffield married Tabitha Burt; they had one son before she died in 1881 at the age of 24 years old. He continued to live here until his death in 1923 at age 86 years old. One of John Cuffield's daughters married Samuel Pennington (1847-1925), who served as Mayor of Birmingham from 1903 to 1905 and again from 1917 to 1919; their son was also mayor from 1925 to 1929. One of Sam Pennington's descendants was Drayton Wofford (baptized December 12th 1870 – d January 15th 1951), an American pediatrician who practiced in Pelham for more than fifty years until his retirement in 1957; he is considered one of Alabama's most influential doctors and has been honored with numerous awards including the prestigious National Medal of Science which he received in 1984. Samuel Pennington also founded "The Sentinel" newspaper which became one of the leading papers in Alabama during its time period before it went out of business around 1930s In 1933 Drayton Wofford donated land eastward along Canfield Boulevard (now Northwest Parkway) across from Auburn University for what would become known as "Pennington Park". This park still exists today and contains many interesting historical artifacts such as an early windmill which still workings today!

The popularity of these glasses led to other companies developing similar products such as Smith & Wesson who released their own version of the starrett safety glasses in 1922 called "The Spectacle". In 1928 Major John Browning patented his attachment system for shotguns which allowed shooters to wear a wide variety of firearms with no risk associated with mishandling them while wearing sunglasses or corrective lenses (sunglasses were not commonly worn by Americans at that time). This invention is now known as "Browning's Rule". In 1933, Howard Hughes patented a design for a binoculars-style device designed specifically for use with handguns which enables handgun owners to see what they are firing while wearing spectacles/sunglasses(this was also later marketed under the name "Huguenin"). This innovation lead tothe developmentof holsters specifically designed for carrying guns around town and into public places like airports where it was often difficult or impossible for people unauthorizedto carry revolvers without attracting attention. Holsters like this have continuedto be popular today despite continued threats from terrorists and other criminals who may find it easier than ever before to obtain high-capacity rounds and explosives without having any accountability

In the 1920s, helmets became mandatory in many American schools. Gunshot victims were often uncooperative and required surgery to remove the pellets that had been shot into their heads. In response, helmet manufacturers developed products with a variety of features to make shooters more comfortable and safe.

Pelham is a city in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. The population was 24,393 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Jefferson County and the largest city inJefferson County by population. Pelham was founded in 1811 as an agricultural community on the east bank of Mobile River. It became a large town after its incorporation as a municipality in 1868. In 1907, Pelham annexed neighboring Ensleyville; this led to its current name of "Pelham City." The first Europeans to visit what is now Pelham were French fur traders in 1705-07 and again in 1710-12. The first permanent English settlers arrived around 1800 and named their new land "Pelham". They were farmers who built log cabins for themselves on high ground near where the present Ashley Avenue & Old Meridian Road intersection stand today. As early as 1811, when an agricultural community called "The Town" was established west of Mobile River between Alabama State Route 20 and Mobile Cemetery (now US 71), some residents had started to plan construction of a wharf on which they could export cotton goods from their fields directly to New Orleans or other points northward across the river by barge or steamboat. In 1868, when it became apparent that annexation by Ensleyville would not happen because that town's residents did not want to become part of Pelham, Mayor James Meeks proposed that the two towns merge into one Municipality with a combined population of 25,000 people. This merger was approved by voters on November 3rd, 1907 and took effect January 1st 1908 under Mayor Eager Waddell's leadership. By 1910 there were over 50 businesses operating within our boundaries! A century ago one could only travel about 10 miles north from where he lived without encountering any white people until you reached Greenville or Huntsville; then things got interesting since there were no roads/maintained transportation then either so you had to go through all these small hamlets etc., basically living off nature etc., until well into the 20th century if you wanted anything more than just subsistence level services like water/electricity/phone etc... For most folks back then it wasn't much different than life today so I think it's safe say that most everyone here knows pretty much everything about our history even if they don't talk about it often enough ;)

Pelham was founded in 1814 by Andrew Pelham and his wife, Eliza. The town grew quickly, hosting a number of businesses and residents until the late 1800s. In 1825, Pelham was renamed for General John C. Smith after the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. In 1865, Pelham became the county seat of Alabama.
