This period also marked some important milestones for the community: first, Cherokee Indians built homes here; secondly, Apache Junction became an officially recognized place within the Navajo Nation; thirdly, it received city status in 1933 following ratification of Chandler's ordinance establishing municipal boundaries within Arizona’s First District; fourthly, it annexed adjacent townships in 1943 following enactment of state law authorizing such annexation; fifthly-and finally sixthly-it reached its current size after being divided into five villages pursuant to federal government order No. 7362 dated September 12th,. The post-World War II boom years for Apache Junction came about due largely to technological advancements which have played an integral role in expanding agriculture throughout much of North America today: irrigation systems were developed which allowed crops such as cotton to be grown more effectively than ever before; supermarkets opened up which helped spur economic development among local businesses; moreover advances in transportation made shipping goods from afar more nimble – this led ultimatelyto increased demand for local products across all sectors including agriculture

The town continued to serve as an important stop on the road system until it was discontinued in 1929. Today, Apache Junction is a ghost town that remains mostly abandoned and forgotten.
Apache Junction was founded in 1877 by the Hualapai people. The town rapidly grew, and by 1915 it had a population of 10,000 people. In 1947, the United States acquired Arizona from Mexico, and Apache Junction became part of the state. The town continued to grow until its peak in 1960, when it had a population of 25,000 people. It has since shrunk significantly, and as of 2000 only has a population of 681 residents.
