Tasers are a type of electric weapon that use an impulse to stun or kill someone. They have been used by law enforcement in the United States for over 30 years. In Buckeye, Arizona, they first became popularized in the 1990s when they were used as part of a police brutality prevention program. The city eventually banned tasers after complaints from residents and others who felt assaulted or killed with them.
There have been many types of electrical weapons used in warfare. Tasers are one type of weapon that has been used for a very long time. They were first developed in the early 1800s, and they have since become an important part of military arsenals around the world. Tasers work by inducing a painful shock into someone with them. This can be done through contact or use of them as an actual physical object. They can also be used to stun people, but this is usually done using much greater force than a taser can inflict. The most common use for Tasers is self-defense, but they can also be used against other people if needed. There have been reports of them being used offensively, but this is mostly limited to cases where it was felt that person had threatened or attacked someone else directly. Overall, Tasers remain a popular weapon choice for those looking for an effective way to stop somebody from harming themselves or others without having to resort to physical force.
The first tasers were used in Buckeye, Arizona on December 8, 1984.

Tasers have a long and varied history. They were first invented in the early 1900s, and they have been used in many different ways since then. Tasers are now used throughout the world, and they are still used as a police instrument to control people. The taser was originally designed as a weapon of last resort. It was not until the 1980s that tasers began to be adopted as part of policing campaigns around the world. At this point, tasers became more commonly used for non-lethal issues such as stunting people or injuring them without causing serious injury. Today, there are many different types of tasers available on the market, and each one has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some experts believe that tasers may be able to relieve some tensions between police officers and citizens, while others argue that they can cause serious injury or even death if used improperly.
On May 6, 2003, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it would not pursue any charges against Tasers International, Inc. for their role in the death of Kenneth Palmer. The DOJ stated that there was no "compelling evidence" to support a criminal prosecution and that such an action would be contrary to the public's interest. This decision comes after years of criticism over the safety and effectiveness of taser devices.
