Gun Target History in Rogers, Arkansas began on July 22nd, 1903 when the first rifle target was installed at the local gun range. The rifle target was a two-by-four that measured 50 feet by 25 feet. Rifle shooters from around the area would come to try their hand at hitting this large and popular attraction. Over time, other targets were added to therange such as pistols, shotguns, and even a human head. In 1925, a three-foot by five-foot bull’s eye target became available for purchase and use. This new addition increased the appeal ofgunRange to even more people across Rogers County. The current firearms range is located off of Highway 464 just outside of Rogersville. It has been open to the public since 1987 and offers a wide variety of targets including handguns, rifles, shotguns, bows and arrows as well as muzzleloaders and airguns!
