One designer who came up with this idea was Nicholas-Jacques Conte, who developed what is now known as the Conte Rifle or Cannon Barrel Theory. He theorized that guns should be able to fire multiple shots per minute by using multiple ounces of lead shot instead of just one ounce of silver shot per minute like current guns do. His theory was eventually proven correct when he successfully developed an early version of the breechloader rifle which fired multiple rounds per minute through its magazine magazine using multiple lead balls instead of just one round per ball as found on current rifles

Bell Gardens is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 26,977 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Central Valley region of Southern California and is bounded by South Bell Avenue on the north, Huntington Drive on the east, Artesia Boulevard on the south, and Interstate 5 to the west. The name "Bell Gardens" may be derived from two sources: one suggests that bells were first heard here in 1876 when Dr. Samuel Morse sent a message over telephone wire from his home to headquarters in Baltimore; another derives it from English gardens which had been near this area since before 1627. At that time there was a large tract of land hereabouts given as part of a trade agreement between England and India. In 1881, $5,000 was raised for improvements to Bell Gardens by subscribing citizens and others interested therein; these included such noted builders as Pemberton & Woodward and Halleck & Company. The first public house in bell-shaped form (now called The City Tavern) opened its doors at 12th Street and Western Ave., Bell Gardens on November 15th, 1881’s Thanksgiving Day! This early establishment served as an important social center for many who lived here then or now including doctors, lawyers, merchants,...A similar tavern existed on Santa Monica Blvd., also known as “The Gilded Cage” until 1915 when Hollywood took over! In 1886–87 two new parks were developed adjacent to each other - Eastern Park across Huntington Drive from Artesia Boulevard on the east side of town (later renamed North Park), while Western Park across Southbell Avenue from Artesia Boulevard became known simply as "Bell Park". Both Parks featured extensive athletic fields with grandstands/wrestling matches being held thereon during summer months! In 1903 Eastern Park was renamed Riverside park after Calvert Cline who donated $20K towards its creation! It should be noted that both earlier Parks were originally just expanses of undeveloped agricultural land...Riverside park eventually grew into what we know today - with numerous Ivy League Universities sprawling throughout its manicured grounds! After years of dedication by various organizations including Rotary Clubs (1911), Girl Scouts (1920), American Legion Post No 334 (1928), Kiwanis Club 1929-1930 (& later chapter #4) - all funded through subscriptions or donations - Riverside park finally received full municipal status on October 25th 1948!!! During World War II no fewer than eleven airfields were used within a five mile radius of downtown Bell Gardens including I-5 Airport which saw operation outages due to enemy bombing raids.......In 1944 following Japan's surrender our most well known resident General Douglas MacArthur arrived courtesyof military intelligence UPI reporting his movements.....This event precipitated riots taking place throughout Downtown Los Angeles resulting in more than forty injuries!!!!!!!!!! As you can probably imagine these days things are pretty quiet around here.........Today only about ten people live within five miles radius of downtown….. However if you want some peace and Quiet please come down to Claremont Village complex located just off US 101 where they are having their monthly meeting..........Bell plazas have become increasingly popular over recent years with many daycare centers popping upIZzzz!!!!!

Bell Gardens, California was founded in 1875 by James S. Bell and his wife Lillie. The city experienced growth during the late 1800s and early 1900s as a result of its proximity to San Francisco, its fertile soil, and its many industry opportunities. The area now known as Bell Gardens is located in western Contra Costa County on the border of Oakland and Berkeley. The first settlers in what would become Bell Gardens were Charles Capps and his family who arrived from Georgia in 1876. They named their small settlement after a park in London that they had seen while traveling there. In 1878, John Sutter came to Bell Gardens with his brother-in-law George Wright to purchase land for a new townsite. The site was on the south side of Lake Merritt which at that time was only an open field with some brush surrounding it. In 1879, Jens Jensen purchased land north of the current intersection of University Avenue and 45th Street from George Wright for $5 per acre (about $50 per square mile). This site became home to Morris Park which still stands today. By 1888, the population of Bell Gardens had grown to over 100 residents and businesses including several stores, a church, four schools (one public and three private), two breweries (the Morris Brewery at 17th Street and Telegraph Road near Lakeshore Boulevard), one sawmill (the Jane Sawmill at Atkinson Avenue/Hemingway Boulevard), two farms (the Daisy Farm at Webster Avenue/38th Street) along with twelve homes. During this time period there were also numerous transportation options available within walking distance of Bell Gardens such as ferries from Alameda Island or horse cars from Dublin Bayou across Interstate Highway 680 near Livermore Valley College where students were taught agriculture until 1965 when buses replaced them. With so much development happening around it,Bell Gardens soon became known as "The City of Roses." In 1905 James Sutter passed away leaving ownership of the townsite to his son Hyrum Sutter Jr.. In 1916 Hyrum Sr.'s widow Sarah moved into her own house on Durant Place which she continued to live in until her death in 1984; she is buried behind her home alongside her husband's ashes beside daughter Alice Mapes Sutter Healy who served as Mayor of Berkeley from 1969-1974 inclusive; daughter Nydia Healy succeeded her mother when Nydia took over management duties for the city following Nydia's mother's death in 2002.)
