This church was built between 1829-1830 on what is now Summary Drive! It wasn't until 1881 that Brentwood officially became a town! At that time it consisted of just 10 homes - all but one belonging to women! In 1902, both commercial strips opened up next door to each other – one serving shoppers at Gresham Street andone serving drivers coming into town on North Central Avenue. That same year saw the construction of our first school - Our Lady Of Angels Catholic School! And finally in 1923 our current Civic Center was completed – giving us all we have today...a beautiful old building filled with shops, restaurants, services etc., right next to our lovely park…just perfect for all those visiting or living here!!
