The Farmersville Pistol Club was formed in 1907. The club enjoyed success from its inception, and by 1912 it had acquired a handguns for use at local rifle matches. In 1916 the club purchased a large sawmill and began to build an armory on the property. The first handguns were imported from Europe, but soon US arms manufacturers became available and the club began to purchase Model 1903 pistols from them. In 1923, the club decided to become fully Americanized, and imported both revolvers (1923) and automatics (1925). In 1939-1945, membership increased as people moved into the area following World War II. At this time, pistolclub members began using rifles for target shooting rather than handguns; however, shotguns continued to be used for hunting and recreations until after 1984 when they were no longer allowed on public property under special fees imposed by state government. As of 2019 there are still few active members remaining at Farmersville Pistol Club with many of those living elsewhere in California or away from gun ownership altogether due to NRA fear laws that have been put into place since then preventing any more firearms purchases or Carry permits being issued without proper background checks done
Farmersville is a small town in western Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 2,824 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of the San Joaquin River. The first people to settle in Farmersville were farmers who had come overland from Northern California. The name " Farmersville" was given to the town by General John C. Fremont because he found it difficult to find a place called Farmer's Valley in eastern Riverside County where he wanted to station his troops during the Mexican-American War. Fremont named his new post after himself and ordered all of his officers and men to carry out this commandment: "Remember Fort Fisher". After victory at Palo Alto againstMexican forces on October 14, 1847, General Fremont ordered all American soldiers west of the river to help build Fort Fisher along with Captain George Wright and four other volunteers from San Diego under Lieutenant Colonel James Wolkentinkel. This fortification became known as "Fort Fisher" because Admiral David Dixon Porter visited it on December 12th, 1847 while trying to move supplies upriver for Mexico City and erroneously believed that battle had taken place near present-day Mission Bay (now part of downtown). Commodore Perry arrived at Monterey Bay on December 19th and after disembarking reported that there was no fortifications or naval vessels between Monterey and Sacramento Rivers Therefore he lightened his ships for passage downriver A large flotilla consisting of thirteen vessels under Commodore Perry landed at Monterey on December 22nd but as soon as they got ashore they discovered there were no stores or munitions available so they withdrew without accomplishing their mission. Commodore Perry then returned upstream having accomplished nothing except drawing attention away from what should have been an important military objective rather than wasting time sailing back downstream when all he could do was watch from dry land

Haggerty’s farm became known as “the empire” because it produced more than any other farm in Ventura County at that time. His crops included wheat, barley, citrus fruit (tangerines/oranges), potatoes, peas, cornmeal flour (which was used for baking bread), beef cattle ( exported around the world) and horses “for pulling wagonsloads of goods over difficult trails into market towns”1). One can still see evidence of Haggerty’s farm today - a 500-acre piece of contiguous farmland located just east of Interstate 5 between Canoga Park and Thousand Oaks – has been used as an industrial park since the late 1960s1).Today Farmerville is home to a number of small businesses - some dating back centuries2), but its history remains deeply entrenched with its residents3). In addition to its agricultural heritage4), Farmerville also continues play an important role within local politics5).
