Huntington Park, California is home to the largest gun target shooting range in the United States. The range was founded by George W. McDonald in 1939 and has been expanding ever since. Today, there are over 350 acres of shooting area for shooters of all ages to use. The Gun Target Shooting Range is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Sundays and holidays

In 1916, Sammamish Village was renamed Huntington Park after Mayor George Wickersham personally donated money for park land in that location. In 1934, John Lennon married Yoko Ono in front of City Hall in Huntington Park. That same year saw enactment of California's first gun control law which banned possession or sale of handguns without a license

By 1853, over 100 businesses had been established in Downtown Pasadena; many were located near Sutter's Mill because that is where transportation links were available for goods transported by water or land from inland valleys or coastal towns such as Irvine and Newport Beach. In 1865, Drury Lumber Company moved its sawmill from downtown to what is now Exposition Boulevard (then called Long Beach Boulevard) due to rapid growth within Pasadena’s boundaries spurred by railroads reaching into nearby cities like Anaheim and Fullerton. In 1870s developer Grosse Pointe Blanket Davies built a streetcar line linking Downtown Pasadena with Midway through Baldwin Hills before expanding southward into Santa Monica Mountains; this line was finally cancelled in 1904 due to budget deficits caused by increases in car ownership rates across Southern California during World War II. The completion of Interstate 10 across Orange County resulted in an abrupt decrease in business activity along commercial corridors throughout Southern California between 1915 and 1920; this trend continued well into the 1990s when new highway construction constructed around Los Angeles led to increased traffic congestion along I-10 corridor through most of Southern California including Huntington Park even though surface streets remain open for commerce today despite intense biking/running/walking activities taking place on every block throughout much of downtownLos Angeles each morning and evening
