Lemoore, California is a small town located in Kern County, California. The population was 1,566 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The community was founded in 1892 by James H. Lemoore and his brother-in-law George Armstrong Copley as an agricultural center on the banks of the Kern River. In 1905, Lemoore began producing ammunition for sale to local rifle clubs and farmers. Ammunition production expanded rapidly during World War I due to America's wartime need for munitions and LEMOORE INDUSTRIES' continued success in marketing its products despite difficult times caused by prohibitionism and technological advancements; these successes made LEMOORE one of America's "duplication factories". In 1925, LEMOORE INDUSTRIES merged with Winchester Ammunition Company to form Winchester Repeating Arms Company (WRAC). During World War II, WRAC produced weapons including tanks and artillery pieces; it was also responsible for developing new ammunition types such as incendiary rounds that were used extensively in Japan during that conflict. After war hostilities ended, WRAC transitioned its operations into manufacturing sporting rifles which eventually became one of America's most successful arms companies through its acquisition of Remington Arms Company in 1968; this led to the creation of Winchester shotgun company which became world renowned for their shotguns after selling them to Browning firearms company in 1994). Today, Lemoore remains a vibrant community with a rich history that has been shaped by American firearms manufacturers over two centuries ago.

Lemoore is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California. It lies on the east bank of the San Gabriel River, about 12 miles (19 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The population was 8,191 at the 2010 census. Leloore is home to Lemoore High School and Lemoore Middle School. Lemoore was founded in 1877 by three brothers: Samuel C. LeMoine, Augustus S. LeMoine and John P. Madden as a small town located on the west side of the San Gabriel River between Simi Valley and Agoura Hills.[1] The name "Lemoore" originated from an Indian word meaning "a place where some kind of fruit grows." The first post office opened in 1879 under the name of Arroyo Seco; it changed its name to Lemoore in 1886 when it became part ofLos Angeles County.[2] In 1909, LemoORE Bridge was built over the now abandoned river bed which connected LemoORE with Arroyo Seco and other communities upstream including Pasadena and Westwood Village. This bridge remained open until 1959 when it was replaced by a new bridge across Riverside Parkway which connects LAX withHAMILTON PARK within Los Angeles city limits

Lemoore is a small town in Stanislaus County, California, United States. The population was 538 at the 2010 census. The first European to visit Lemoore was Jedediah Smith in 1817. He camped near the present-day village on October 20 of that year and recorded his findings on a map he made. A few years later, Spanish explorer José Gabriel María Fornés also visited Lemoore and named the area Santa Lucia de Lemoore after his patron saint. Lemoore was platted in 1836 by American miners who prospected for gold in what is now Stanislaus County. The town name comes from Spanish words "lemuela" (plural "lemures") meaning 'small building or cabin'. The first post office was established at Lemoore about July 1, 1836; it was discontinued February 14, 1840 because of Gold Rush Fever. In 1861, when California became a state, Lemoore became the county seat of Stanislaus County. It remained so until 1907 when it moved to Monterey due toearthquake damage caused by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. In 1915–16, an effort was made to move the county seat back to Lompoc but this failed when voters rejected an issue on November 8th which would have transferred all power within Stanislaus County to its new seat of city council control with no representation for rural citizens outside of downtown Stanislausville proper). The only remaining remnant of original Lemoore are two contributing members of the Pomo tribe - Chief Johnero and Crazy Horse's grandson Kayenta - their descendants live today in nearby Redding and Shingle Springs respectively. In recent years much development has taken place around these small villages as well as within smaller towns located east and northeast of Lompoc: highways have been built through them connecting these communities with each other while larger homes and businesses have replaced traditional residences wherever there once were single-family dwellings or encampments used by various Native American tribes that had inhabited this region before white settlement began (e.g., Mono people living near Livermore Valley) .
