In 1933-1934, they purchased all assets of Browning Firearms Company including its print shop which continued until 1943 when it closed due to World War II censorship regulations. From 1934-1976, WAP was published by Iron Fist Publications Incorporated which became an imprint of Crowell & Co., formerly American Imprint Company.(Crowell) In 1978-1979 WAP bought all assets of Arms & Armour Publications Ltd.(Anglo Canadian Plastics)(ACP) which had been printing munitions magazines since 1886.(Anglo Canadian Plastics) From 1980-1992(?), both ACP and Crowell & Co operated out of separate facilities but shared an office until 1995 when they united under one roof and merged into G&H Publishing plc.) Anglo Canadian Plastics discontinued publishing mags effective February 9th 1996 following 16 years without interruption.(G&H Publishing plc.) Then finally during 2006 G&H Publishing rebranded themselves Magna Carta Press During World War II many different companies produced ammo for the military including Remington Arms Company(Ramsay), Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation(Winchester), Colt Ammunition Corporation(Colt), FN Herstal Munitions AG(FNH), Webley Firearms Limited(Webley), Browning Automatic Pistol Corp.(Browning automatic pistols only), BSA Firearms Ltd.(BSA shotguns only). Many arms manufacturers turned their products over to other companies during war because domestic production efforts were not possible or too costly given wartime restrictions. For example Royal Dutch Shell took over production of artillery rounds for the US military after Pearl Harbor while British Leyland produced tanks for Germany despite being banned from doing so by Allied governments.(British Leyland)

The first white settlers arrived in 1851 when Captain James Brede and his party landed on what is now the east side of Piedmont Avenue in San Francisco Bay. The town started to grow around this military post, which became known as Camp Funston after General David S. Goff's headquarters there during World War II. In 1860, Piedmont was incorporated as a city under the name of San Fancisco with a population of 2,500 people. In 1902 it became an agricultural center with the arrival of Jerald Jowers, who founded Jowers Rancho Pinole and eventually developed much of present-day Piedmont into wine country. After Prohibition ended in 1933, many wineries reopened and today produce over 100 different types of wines according to taste preference or regionality %. Piedmont, California is a small town in the Central Valley of California. The population was 5,310 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fresno-Tahoe-Riverside Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area now known as Piedmont was first settled by Native Americans in the late 17th century. The region was explored by Spanish explorers in 1642 and claimed by Mexico in 1821. In 1848, following Mexican War (1846-48), California became part of United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, ceding whole New Mexico and Arizona to Mexico. As a result of this treaty, much of what is now Piedmont was within Mexican territory until it became an American possession following World War II. The townsite that later became Piedmont was named for José Gómez de la Torre, governor of Californias southernmost district from 1787 to 1800. A post office called La Jolla had been established in 1849 but never served because no one lived there long enough to claim it! In 1860, Hiram Bingham bought 10 acres (4 ha) northeast of present-day Piedmont for $1 and called it his "Granada Ranch". After gold were discovered nearby on October 24, 1864 by Captain Elisha Gray (), Bingham began developing his land into a ranch operation with over 120 head of cattle and 4irons worth $6 per tonne mined at Sutter's Mill (). In 1865–66 Orville Bean leased 1/2 mile (0.8 km) east from Hiram Bingham's Granada Ranch for $5 per month on each year with an option to purchase additional shares at $10 per month each (). When beans failed to take off commercially due to low prices and cholera pandemic – which struck America during these years – Bean decided to sell his rights back to Hiram Bingham for just $3 monthly rent plus interest ($24 total). This arrangement continued until 1907 when territorial authorities passed an act providing for municipal government only within counties designated by Congress (). It should be noted that while bean may have been responsible for starting up the first post office in Piedmont proper – La Jolla - others such as John Craines developed some very early businesses here including Black & Decker batteriesmithy (&later RCA Victor Home Video) and Wernher von Braun’s Redstone Arsenal Co., Inc.. In 1903 local grazer George Hearn started marketing hay through wagons pulled by oxen drawn behind horseback () from about three miles away near today’s High Street corner near Eastridge Elementary School; this eventually led to Hearn’s father opening a general store here also serving as village hall from 1922 until 1951 when it burned down .
