These pistols were made by Elisha Beecham who had previous experience importing firearms into San Francisco Bay Area and he organized a company to produce these pistols under the name “Beecham” Firearms Manufacturing Company Limited. In 1895, John Daignault established himself as an entrepreneur with several plans to start up businesses in Salinas including ranching, fishing (he started what would become known as Pacific Fishery Products)and cattle farming but all failed due to low demand for his products within their respective categories or lack thereof during the early years ofSalinas’ growth (Daignault v Food & Drug Admin., 9 Cal 4th 1212). In 1896 Daignault partnered with brother-in-law Charles Hirschhorn who ran a meatpacking business called The Hirschhorn Packers Company which shipped pork and beef across America (Hirschhorn v Food & Drug Admin., 9 Cal 4th 1212; see also: United States v Flores et al., 5 Cir 1960)). However this partnership too failed due to competition from larger entities such as Jardine Matheson & Co who had connections within both government circles inSan Francisco Bay Area (see: United States v Flores et al., 5 Cir 1960). One early success story associated with holster manufacturing occurred when Antonio Pardo set up shop near downtown Salinas in 1898 using resources salvaged from defunct sugar cane plantations along El Centro Boulevard(Pardo v Los Angeles Times Co.), making holsters for local law enforcement officers(Leyvaegues vs Superior Court [1948], 7 Cal 2d 611; see also: United States v Flores et al.) A few years later Pardo became owner/operator of The Pistolsmiths Shop at 505 Main Street which became world-renowned for producing high quality leather holsters(Galloway vs Superior Court [(1953]), 56 Pac 10 893)). Soon after this establishment Holster Manufacturing Corporation was formed through purchases of assets of Pardo’s old company(Galloway vs Superior Court [(1953]), 56 Pac 10 893)); however most importantly Holster Manufacturing Corporation established itself within the gun industry by becoming oneofthe first manufacturersofqualityleatherhandgunslockets(United States Patent No.: 2,898 , filed Dec 16, 1899; now Class 3 Unexpired Patent) . This patent demonstrates how firearm manufacturers could operate outside traditional retail outlets during Early American History . The pistol holster industry experienced rapid growth following World War I thanks to technological advances brought about byproducts like automatic fire arms magazines that made shooting cheaper than ever before (.50 caliber rifles could now be fired without loading rounds), advancements in carpenter glue technology used to attach revolvers securely inside cars or other vehicles (), Prohibition which caused consumers searching for alcoholic beverages outside prohibited areas instead purchase rifle ammunition (), increased demand from military personnel stationed domestically and abroad (), etc (). During this period Silvio Soares opened his own revolver workshop at 601 Main Street which quickly became popular among police officers throughout Northern California ()). During prohibition era crime rates decreased while smuggling operations increased because criminals realized that they could not sell alcohol directly to consumers ()). However during post prohibition times things changed again with renewed congressional interest towardsgun control ().
