These guns were soon being referred to as Pistolero Pistols because they resembled modern percussion caps pistols that were common at this time (referring back to Spanish era). On February 1st 1850 , Captain Isaac Parker sailed into San Diego harbor with his new ship Thetis which he named after George Washington’s flagship HMS action . When Captain Parker disembarked he took possession of many artifacts from various Native American tribes including spears, arrows and knives. One such item was a muzzle loader rifle called The Old Gun which had been used by Apaches during our Mexican-American war against Mexico City Army forces under General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna…In total these items formed part ofCaptain Isaac Parker’s collection that eventually ended up at Point Loma Naval Air Station where it can still be seen today (alongside other naval artifacts) 2nd Sdt Regiment CA sold their old rifles & shotguns to Gov't Feb 1861 for $1 each They kept them here until Jan 1865 when they were turned over to Gov't Arsenal There they remained until 1935 when they were finally melted down & reused for ammo production at Munitions Plant...This plant produced millions of rounds per day for US Military during WWII...Today most all these components are located at PNL ASI Museum near Point Loma...It should be noted that there are several different types & brands of revolvers manufactured between 1850-1935; however all but about 10% remain today unchanged save for repairs or alterations required by Calguns Foundation Inc., an organization dedicated exclusively thereto since 1978....Most interesting about this timeline is how quickly things changed once CaptainParker got hold of these weapons - almost immediately re-ribling them into service with 2nd Sdt CA! It also shows just how interconnected our country's national defense apparatus really was during this time period
