Santa Fe Springs, California is a small town located in eastern San Diego County in the U.S. state of California. It is bordered by the municipalities of Carlsbad and Imperial on the north, Banning on the east, Chula Vista on the south, and Poway on the west. The population was 7,059 at the 2010 census. In 1881, when Rancho Rinconada was acquired from Mexican Governor José Joaquin Moraga by future U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt, Santa Fe Springs became part of his new rancho parcel and was incorporated as a city in 1912 under then-mayor Pancho Villa; during World War II it served as an airfield for American military forces mobilizing against Japan; and since 2000 it has been home to Fountain Hills High School (now known as Canyonview) which enrolls over 1,500 students from all over Southern California including many children who attend nearby La Jolla。 Like most working class Californias during this time period SantaFe Springs had little if anything going for it but its location close to major cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco made it attractive to developers looking for cheap land with easy access to freeway exits where they could build high-rise condos or office buildings blocks that would be accessible from Interstate 5 and downtown Los Angeles or both sides of Interstate 8054

Santa Fe Springs, California is a town located in Sonoma County, California. The population was 10,387 at the 2010 census. Santa Fe Springs was founded in 1885 by Father Francisco Gomez and wife Margarita Martinez as a small mission station named San José de las Flores. The mission chapel still stands today and is used for religious services. The original settlement was on the east side of Cerritos Creek, about three miles north of present-day Santa Fe Springs. In 1887 Santa Fe Springs became an incorporated town when it separated from Cerritos Creek Settlement. At first only men lived there because there were no buildings or schools available for children. In 1899 the first school opened up and remained in operation until 1951. In 1905 the City of SantaFe Springs annexed part of Commerce Park to become its own municipality with a population of 25 residents. The city built two hospitals which remain in use today: St John’s Hospital and Mercy Medical Center (now known as University Hospitals). A parknamed after Father Gomez called La Casa Blanca (The White House) was also developed on this site. Today, portions of this property are home to numerous businesses such as Macy’s Department Store and Sears Holdings Corporation.. In 1916 Mayor Butch Davis established what is now known as Butch Davis Park in honor of his predecessor who had left office six years earlier without leaving any lasting legacy for Santa Fe Springs other than name recognition. This area includes but is not limited to parts that currently make up downtown SantaFeSprings including Main Street between Katella Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard; Second Street between Beale Street and Newhall Avenue; Broadway between Sutter Road and Yorba Linda Boulevard; Elmira Place between Cesar Chavez Boulevard and State Route 1A; Industrial Drive adjacent to First Baptist Church between Interstate 5 freeway exit #5 southbound lanes (southwest corner); Eastshore Drive adjacent to First Baptist Church along I-5 southbound lanes near exit #9 westbound lanes (northwest corner). Most recently, much development took place near First Baptist Church along I-5 southbound lanes near US 101 interchange (#9), centered around Energy Drilling Company warehouse complex now occupied by several high end commercial properties including Apple Valley Mall
The first European to visit Santa Fe Springs was Diego Rivera in 1848. He painted the "Santa Fe"canvas which hangs in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In 1886, Chico Madero and his rebels occupied Santa Fe Springs. The townspeople were forced to leave their homes and live in tents on nearby hills.
