The history of gun protection in Santa Fe Springs, California began with the establishment of a post office at the current location on North First Street in 1885. The first law enforcement officer in the area was Deputy Sheriff John Fink, who served from 1888 to 1893. He was followed by Sergeant George W. Bell, who served from 1893 to 1897. In 1898, Captain H. A. Gaston became the first officer on duty when he took over from Bell. In 1934, Mayor Condon established a city police department and appointed Deputy Chief Harry Shearer as its first chief. From 1935 until 1938, Chief Shearer led the force into World War II when it was called up for service under Mayor Prentice Dulles’s wartime emergency decree No. 2-43C1. As part of this program of militarization by local government, all citizens were required to have a permit to carry any rifle or shotgun indoors or out and all handguns were limited to three rounds per day per person per adult unless owned by an individual over 21 years old with a valid handgun license issued by the sheriff’s office; each citizen also had to possess two magazines of ammunition per handgun while carrying outside and one magazine inside his vehicle (an open container). All firearms must be unloaded and stored in their owner’s home during non-business hours outside of their residences (except for storing rifles in locked storage at family businesses). As part of its response to public concerns about potential threats posed by outlaw gangs such as The Outlaws Motorcycle Club (OMC) and La Lucha Libre Gangsters Association (LLGA), the city council passed an ordinance regulating handguns on December 5th, 1941 which provided that “No person shall own or carry any pistol or revolver except pursuant thereto [i]t is lawful for licensed peace officers duly authorized to issue pistols or revolvers under regulation…to protect themselves against crime committed upon their beats” This ordinance effectively ended gun ownership among most Santa Fe Springs residents; however, some individuals did still own guns due to fear that they may not be able get licenses if they no longer worked for law enforcement agencies that carried weapons according to this ordinance

Prior to its construction, Fort Worth served as an ammunition dump used by troops during World War I and World War II adjacent to Camp Kearny where thousands of American service members were trained before being deployed overseas. The city of Santa Fe Springs, California was founded in 1887 by American pioneers. The city is located on the San Gabriel River, about 25 miles east of Los Angeles. The area that would become Santa Fe Springs was first populated by the Tongva people and other Native Americans. In 1847, Mission Santa Catalina was established in present-day Santa Fe Springs and served as a religious center for the Tongva people. In 1860, the town of Anza became incorporated and began to grow because of its location along the railroad. In 1881, an additional post office was built in the town and named after George Washington Carver, who had donated land to help develop the town. By 1886, Santa Fe Springs had a population of 300 people and was considered a small agricultural community. However, over time it grew into a large commercial center due to its location on one of Southern California's biggest railroads. In 1907, when Southern California Edison Company leased land from Pasadena City Hall for $1 million to build their new electric plant, many farmers in southern Pasadena decided to move closer to Edison so they could have access to his electricity. As a result of this lease agreement between Edison and Pasadena City Hall (Pasadena's predecessor), many businesses within downtown Pasadena were moved out onto I-10 west of downtown Los Angeles so that they could be connected directly with Edison's electric line. This move also made possibleSantaFeSprings' growth as an industrial center because many companies chose this location specifically because it offered easy access to big cities like Los Angeles but also affordable prices for goods produced there such as textiles and automobiles
