Castle Rock, Colorado is a town in Weld County, Colorado, United States. The population was 5,392 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Grand Junction–Aurora Metropolitan Statistical Area. The original settlement in what is now Castle Rock was called "The Rocks" and was established by Captain John Haddock on November 4, 1855 as a trading post on the edge of present day Aurora. The first ammunition factory in the area was started by George Stephenson and his brothers-in-law James Watt and Robert McNaught in 1857 at what is now known as Big Hill Arsenal. This factory produced munitions such as rifled artillery shells, cannons ball bearings and powder for handguns and rifles. The armaments production continued until 1865 when it was moved to Pueblo to be enlarged into a larger facility that became Fort Lyon Ammunition Manufacturing Company. In 1903 the company changed its name to Winchester Repeating Arms Company after Henry Winchester purchased majority ownership from his father-in-law Samuel Colt. From 1905 until 1957 they manufactured all types of ammunition including rifle cartridges ( bottlenecked models), shotgun shells (shotguns only) lead shot (lead shot projectiles), pistol rounds (Pistol Rounds) and cannonball shell cases for use with muzzleloaders following America's entry into World War I In 1978 Winchester merged with Remington Arms Incorporated creating one of the largest U.S firearms companies with over $100 billion in sales during their history Winchester Repeating Arms Company Suffered serious financial problems during 1999 through 2003 due to actions taken by then CEO Rick Sterling which included increasing prices for products while laying off workers; however this stabilized soon enough In 2007 Winchester announced plans to sell most of their firearms businesses within four years starting with their Pistol Round business However these plans never came to fruition as they were pulled back after weak performance from their Pistol Round business

Today, many residents are involved in agriculture due to its low taxes and excellent production opportunities; this has led to increased production at local farms as well as at cross-country truck stops near CastleRock where shoppers can purchase produce from local farms while they're en route east or westward

The recurve bow was actually pretty similar except that it utilized an elaborate system called a “wedge” which allowed you to shoot fast arrows much like today’s compound bows! Castle Rock, Colorado is a small town in the San Miguel County area of Denver, Colorado. The population was 1,575 at the 2000 census. It is located on the eastern edge of Castle Rock Reservoir and on the western edge of Littleton. The first permanent settler in what is now Castle Rock was James Hartsfield in 1875. He erected a cabin onsite and named it "Hartsfield's Landing". By 1886, there were 5 settlers living in Castle Rock: Hartsfield, John Atkins, WIlliam Larkin, Jesse Beasley and Fannie Fowler. In 1902 William Pemberton bought 760 acres near where CastleRock Reservoir now stands for $10 per acre. He named his land "CastleRock" after his home state of Vermont. The idea to build a dam to control flooding at the reservoir originated with him and others in 1906-07 when they realized that water levels were too high for farming without storage capacity at Lake Mead behind Hoover Dam. The first dam was built by American Electric Power Company (AEP) as part of AEP's development of the San Miguel Valley Project which included building two reservoirs (Lake Mead and Castle Rock) as well as an electric power plant southwest of Denver called Rocky Mountain Power Station (RMP). The dam was completed in 1911 and became operational that year. From its construction until 1966 when it was replaced by another dam (), CastleRock had low water levels that allowed agriculture but no human habitation or commercial development; only 12 ranching operations operated out of 6 miles around the reservoir from its surface level before 1970 because there was no way to store enough water to cover demand growth during drought years.

The first settlers on Castle Rock, Colorado were James and John Wickersham. They started a farm in 1876 and raised chickens, cows, pigs and horses. In 1907 the Wickershams donated land for the current campus of University of Colorado at Boulder.
