Scope mounts have been a part of Federal Heights for over seventy years. The first scope mount was built in 1903 by J.W. Brown and Sons, a rifle manufacturer in Federal Heights. In 1919, the company became an armory supplier to the Colorado National Guard. In 1928, Brown & Williamson merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company, creating what is now Winchester Ammunition Corporation. That same year, Federal Heights Armory opened its doors and began selling rifles and shotguns using scope mounts from Hornady Manufacturing Company's range in Sterling, Colorado. This type of mount was used until the early 1960s when efforts began to promote revolving carbines as a more efficient weapon system (referred to then as "fixed sights"). A new type of scope mount called a "bipod" was developed which allowed shooters to stabilize their carbine while aiming downrange by suspending it from a Baldwin bipod at one end and utilizing an adjustable Monoprice sight at the other end (see illustration). The first telescopic rifles were typically equipped with detachable box magazines that would hold up to twenty rounds each; however, this feature was eventually dropped in favor of permanently attached box magazines for infantry use beginning in World War II due to concerns about German snipers using them as cover during combat operations. By 1945, all rifle ammunition had been moved into storage silos following World War II and most Scope Mounts were no longer made commercially or militarily available; however, some remain extant today as Historical Relic items (e.g., Hornady Model 656 Scope Mount)
Scope mounts are devices that attach to the barrel of a rifle, allowing the user to change the aiming point of the firearm. There are various types of scope mounts, including bipod mount, flash hider mount, and railmount. The most popular type of scope mount is the bipod mount. A bipod mountedscope typically has two legs that hinge outwardly to allow for adjustments in elevation and windage. Bipods also feature a hold down bracket that allows for quick and easy attachment or removal of optics. The flash hider mount is a variation on the bipod Mount used primarily with shotguns where its use provide greater range due to increased light output from an attached flash suppressor or Holographic Sight (HSS). It consists of a metal tube extending over the barrel at one end and an adjustable focus knob at the other which can be rotated to adjust how much light is blocked by the attached optics while firing. The railmount is a newer invention that was first developed for riflescopes utilizing digital technology such as those offered by Nikon, Remington, Vortex etc.. It provides an interface between your rifle's Picatinny rails and your television or computer monitor which makes it possible to see what you're seeing without having to remove your rifle from storage! Additionally, it allows you to increase or decrease magnification levels without taking away from shooting accuracy.
In Federal Heights, Colorado, the first expansion of the United States Mounted Police Department (USMP) was conducted in 1887. The first detachment from Colorado Springs was stationed here in 1907. The USMP grew rapidly in this region and by 1912 had a detachments at both Federal Hill and Greenwood Village. In 1917, the Denver office of the USMP was established here and by 1921 there were detachments stationed at 14th Street and Broadway in Denver as well as Blue Creek Station on Park Meadows Road in Wheat Ridge. The USMP underwent a major restructuring effective July 1, 1969 when it became an agency within the National Security Agency (NSA). This change significantly increased its size and responsibilities. during its new structure, the USMP assumed primary responsibility for law enforcement activities inside NSA installations throughout America.
Federal Heights is a small town located in Jefferson County, Colorado. It was founded in 1868 by settlers from Illinois. The population of Federal Heights was 1,792 as of the 2010 census. The town is named for General James K. Polk, who served as United States President from 1849 to 1853 and again in 1857-1858. The first store in Federal Heights opened its doors on Main Street in 1870. By 1900, there were five stores and three churches in Federal Heights. In 1928, the post office moved to its present location on US Highway 6 south of the railroad tracks. In 2006, Federal Heights became one of the first towns in America to adopt an automated voice recognition system called "VoiceMatch". This technology allows residents to speak with their local municipal officials without ever having to take any notes or sign anything away!

Additionally, they offered superior target sighting abilities when compared to traditional red dot sights. Scope-Mount rifles continued becoming popular until World War II when Winchester introduced its own version of this type of mount called the Over/Under Rifle Mount (OUR). This new system allowed shooters to attach any standard Weaver or Picatinny rail system to their firearms in orderto increase their shooting capabilities significantly. OWRs became very popular during wartime as they allowed soldiers and sailors across all branches of service to effectively mounting additional gear on top of their weapons without havingTo worry about complex adjustments or changing barrels!
There are a few different types of expansion mounts available today. One type is called an "inch-hole" mount which is designed for adding extra storage space to a rifle or shotgun. Another type of expansion mount is called a "bipod" mount and it allows you to place your rifle or shotgun in a specially designed bracket that attaches directly to the tripod leg. Finally, there is the "telescopic" mount which allows you to increase your view range by mounting your rifle or shotgun on a tall telescoping stand.
Federal Heights is a town in Douglas County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,032 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first white people to visit Federal Heights were surveyors on horseback in 1849 who discovered an area that would soon become Federal Heights. They named the place after General James K. Polk's Headquarters during the Mexican–American War and homesteaded some of what would later be known as "the Polk Ranch". In 1861, when Fort Sumter was firing upon Confederate forces from nearby Greenwood Village, Union soldiers from Ft. Leavenworth passed through Federal Heights on their way to join the battlefront. The sight of so many troops passing by gave Federal Heights its name - "the most military town inDouglas County". It wasn't until 1875 that a post office was established at Federal Heights with Leland Stanford as Postmaster General. In 1880, a general store and hotel were constructed on Main Street serving as the nucleus of what would become today's downtownFederalheights Shopping Center complex. That same year saw the opening of Rocky Mountain News building which remains one of downtownDenver's most iconic landmarks today
Federal Heights was founded in 1876 by U.S. President James K. Polk as a military reservation for Native Americans on the eastern edge of Colorado Springs, adjacent to what is now Fort Carson National Park. The area was part of the Shawnee Indian Reservation and it was not until 1907 that the United States Congress passed the Indian Appropriations Act which gave Federal Heights its current name. The first post office in Federal Heights opened in 1879, and during the 1880s there were several mills and sawmills located in or around Federal Heights. By 1900, however, only one small business remained in town – a grocery store. By 1920, however, all but one of the businesses had closed and Federal Heights had only two churches – First Presbyterian Church (founded in 1870) and Methodist Episcopal Church (established in 1893). In 1933, when Federal Heights became an incorporated municipality it had only three residents – all male citizens age 21 or over who resided within five miles of the municipal center. In 1935–36 Municipal Services Department employees built a public works department which included a fire station, police substation and library/theater complex which served as Municipal Hall until 1967 when it was replaced by City Hall which still stands today. In 1969–70 city council decided to build a new Civic Center on top of Municipal Hall with money from federal grants program providing stimulus for local economic development . The new civic center was completed in 1974 and remains today as one of town’s most popular tourist attractions
