Pinellas Park, Florida is a census-designated place in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. Pinellas Park is located on the edge of Tampa Bay and is bordered by Clearwater to the east, St Petersburg to the south, and Bradenton to the west. The name Pinellas Park comes from two small islands in Tampa Bay: Pinellas Island and Bulls Island. In 1855, local businessmen offered $1 for every head of hair cut off a man who was known as "the Hair-Trigger" because he could not control his temper when losing money at gaming tables. A men's club was started in 1867 and became known as The Ideal Home for Boys (now Boy Scouts of America). On October 1, 1907, a group of men from New York City formed what would become organized golfing society called The American Golfers' Association (AGA). They rented land east of where modern day Pinespark sits on Bulls Island for their clubhouse and green. On December 11th of that year they held their first meeting which resulted in adoption of their first constitution with 10 members including five original AGA members: George Waring (founder), Hargrave Jennings (manager), Alfred O'Donnell (founder], James Fenton (director), John Daly(founder) - all Americans living in Tampa then - and Jens Jakobsson (+1) from Sweden who had recently immigrated to America. In 1928 AGA merged with The Professional Golfers' Union which increased its membership to 34 before disbanding in 1935 due to financial difficulties brought about by the Great Depression. In 1936 AGA again merged with PGA/PGAInfo but this time as an organization separate from both tour organizations; however this merger did not last long as AGA disbanded again within three years due largely to differences over how golf should be marketed or played among themselves while PGA Info continued operations uninterrupted until 1979 under new ownership before being sold again in 1984 to TaylorMade who continue it today as part of Titleist Corporation

Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto passed through Pinespark in 1810 while exploring Florida's east coast as part of his explorations southward from Havana. Spanish troops under General Antonio López de Santa Anna massacred many Indians along the banks of Okeechobee River near present day Saint Petersburg while besieging present day Pinellas Park on December 16–21, 1825; Santa Anna was trying to establish control over what became known as East Florida Territory following Mexican independence from Spain two years earlier
In 1838 a small community developed around mile marker 4 on U.S.- Rail Road Co.'s Key Biscayne Branch line between Clearwater and West Palm Beach; its first postmaster was George Lafayette Dillard Sr.. By 1840 Key Biscayne had become an agricultural center with slaves working field labor including cotton plantations run by white men; however sugarcane production began expanding rapidly around here soon afterwards
