Rockledge, Florida is a small town in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first firearms case reported in Rockledge occurred on October 24, 1892 when two men were shot at night by an individual unknown to them near the corner of Orange Avenue and Clearwater Street. In 1903, Wm. H. Smith opened a store in the town and began selling rifles and shotguns. By 1907 there were six firearm stores operating in Rockledge with over 350 employees. In 1911, Jens Holt opened his own store which became known as "Holt's hardware". Holt's Hardware continued to be a prominent business in Rockledge until it closed its doors for good on December 3, 1976 due to economic problems within the local community.

Rockledge, Florida is a small town in Alachua County, Florida. It was founded in 1892 and has since grown to be a community of over 25,000 residents. The community is located on the central coast of Florida and consists of two main areas: the north side which contains the business district and the south side which contains the residential area. The community was originally named after Colonel Robert Rockledge who served in both Spanish and American wars. After he died in 1865, his wife took up the name for their son Robert Rockledge Jr. In 1892, when Rockledge Sr. died, his widow decided to keep the name even though her husband had given it to their son. The first settler in Rockledge was John Haddaway who arrived in 1892. He built a cabin on what is now Fairbanks Drive and named it Haddock's Landing because he thought it would be more likely for people to find food there than on any other spot around town at that time. In 1903, John Haddock donated land to make way for what is now known as Marina Boulevard which connects Rockledge with nearby Clearwater Beach. At that time, Marina Boulevard consisted of only one street which led from Haddock's Landing all the way down to Clearwater Beach! Today, Marina Boulevard includes several streets including Enterprise Drive which leads directly into Marina Bayou; Gulfstream Drive; Ford Avenue; Lane Cove Road; North Avenue; South Avenue; MacArthur Boulevard; Harbor Freeway (I-75/U-S-1) and much more! In 1954, when Alachua County was created, Rockledge became part of it and its current Name change reflecting this new reality!

The NFA regulated all types of firearms including shotguns, rifles, pistols, revolvers, and machineguns. It also created a specific criminal code called the Gun Control Act (GCA). Under GCA, anyone who possessed any type of firearm without a license was subject to punishment. This included prison terms and/or a fine up to $5,000 dollars per item sold or transferred without proper documentation. The Gun Control Act also imposed certain restrictions on ammunition purchases. Ammunition could only be bought from licensed retailers only. Additionally, purchases could only be made with cashier’s checks or money orders payable to “the Secretary at Washington D C” These measures were designed as a way of limiting crime while also ensuring that citizens had access to accurate information about handguns and other kinds of firearms

Rockledge began as a farming community on the banks of the Everglades River. In 1884, John Rockledge donated land to make way for a public school and citrus orchards were established there. By 1930, Rockledge had become an incorporated municipality with a population of 1,500 people. In 1961, Rockledge was renamed after General James Hinton "Hap" Grant III who fought in World War II and became U.S. Minister to Japan under Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S Truman. The town's economy changed when Eastern Airlines moved its headquarters from Jacksonville to Miami in 1978 and started offering services here such as catering and aircraft maintenance; this led to the growth of retail stores throughout the town while also giving rise to local businesses that provide unique products or services not found anywhere else in South Florida outside of downtown Miami proper (such as Dogpatch Pizza). The airport has been an important factor in continuing this growth by providing job opportunities for many locals while also bringing development into the town—most notably through projects like PNC Park and Boca Raton Resort & Spa which have increased traffic around both locations; additionally, it has helped keep rockledge's infrastructure up to date with major expansions such as new roads being built near KISS nightclub which replaced an old shopping center adjacent to Ponce de Leon Boulevard/University Drive) Today,rockledge is home to some of south florida’s most vibrant neighborhoods – including Palmetto Hill (a quiet enclave bordered by Coral Gables on one side and Brickell on the other), Midtown (home to several high end shops including Zara), Ascot Hills (a gated community overlooking Biscayne Bay), Lakeside Heights (home to several upscale restaurants primarily focused on seafood), Sunrise Gardens (annexed from Palm Beach County) – all within easy walking distance of each other making it one OFFLINE destination that feels worlds away from everyday life yet still minutes away from everything you could desire or need!
