In 1903, The Citizens’ Committee on Public Safety formed in response to the increasing number of crime rates in the city. They developed a program to provide ammunition for citizens to keep their firearms safe and secure. Bullet sales began operations at this location in 1903. In 1955, The Pistolero Shooting Club moved into Winter Park from Fort Lauderdale and began operating out of this location. This shooting club offered instruction in both pistol shooting and rifle shooting. bullet sales continued at this location until 1984 when it closed its doors due to financial troubles.
