After the war, many residents moved away from Cusseta in search of new opportunities. However, a small group of locals continued to live and operate their businesses within the community until it ceased operations completely in 1972. Today, remnants of both old businesses and homes can still be found within walking distance of each other on main Street in Cusseta – a reminder that this once vibrant community had much to offer its citizens and visitors alike!
