Milton, Georgia is a small town located in Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 10,611 at the 2010 census. It lying on the edge of Cherokee Nation and is home to many businesses and services related to firearms. holster history in Milton began with the arrival of European settlers in 1795. One of the first gunsmiths in Milton was James Sibley who manufactured pistols for local militias. By 1810, there were six gunsmiths operating in town and by 1830, there were twenty-eight. In 1865, Milton joined the Union as part of the Atlanta Campaign and became known as "The Arsenal of Southern Georgia." From 1865-1868, guns were manufactured here including cannons used during the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. In 1870-71 an armory was built adjacent to downtown which continued to be used until it burned down in 1978. During this time period there were also stores and restaurants attached to the armory complex. In 1879-80 a new armory was constructed on Railroad Avenue east of downtown which continued to be used until it burned down in 1985. This new armory had a more modern design than previous ones and it served as both a manufacturing plant for handguns (primarily revolvers) as well as storage space for artillery munitions during World War II. From 1919 through 1965 all handgun sales within three miles of Milton were banned due to their potential impact on public safety; however this rule was relaxed beginning in 1966 following passage of legislation that allowed concealed carry without permits statewide across all Georgias except for those states that still prohibited carrying handguns ( Alabama , Arkansas , Florida , Hawaii , Kentucky , Louisiana –Martinique ) . In 1990–1991 an amendment passed into law repealed parts (i) & (ii)of Amendment 2 making it legal once again for citizens throughout Fulton County simply possessing a pistol or revolver at anyTIME sans permit from sheriff or other authorized authority…Thus begins Pistol Permit History: A Minefield! ! !

Milton, Georgia is an unincorporated community in Forsyth County, Georgia, United States. It lies along the Chattahoochee River on the eastern edge of the city of Atlanta. The community was founded by a group of farmers in 1892. The name Milton is from the first word in the original land grant to Milton Creek Association: "Milton", given by Governor John Wesley Hill to David Williamson. The creek has its source at nearby Mount Pleasant and flows northeastward through Milton before joining the Chattahoochee River near downtown Atlanta. In 1903, a railroad company built a line west from Decatur to Athens, Alabama; this line became part of the Southern Railway and passed through Milton. In 1915, when Atlanta became an incorporated city, Milton was annexed into Atlanta and its residents were transferred to that municipality's population counted as part of that city's total population for purposes of taxation. However, they continued to be taxed as resident aliens withinAtlanta until their Citizen Status was terminated on January 1st, 1970 due to changes in state law affecting citizens who had Indian status at that time. In 1940, when Atlanta began its federally funded redevelopment program known as "The War Zone," there were many abandoned homes in central City which were being used for storage by various agencies such as the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Veterans Administration (VA). One such home was located at 6th and State Streets which served as both an office building for FHA and also housing units for evacuees from World War II-era bombing raids against downtown Atlanta which had knocked out power throughout much of downtown during those days. The building still stands today - it is now called Fulton Tower- Sixth &State Streets- inside what once been Fulton Elementary School across Sixth Street from Albany Park public school district headquarters on Peachtree Street NW adjacent to Magazine Avenue NW
