Newnan, Georgia is a town of about 30,000 people located in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The population has grown rapidly over the past few decades, and ammunition sales have been an important part of that growth. Ammunition manufacturing has been a key part of Newnan’s economy for many years, and the town has a rich history with ammunition products. The first firearms were made in Newnan by local farmers and hunters. Ammunition was not a common item back then, but it was used to kill game and protect oneself from arrows or spears. The earliest rifles were made in Native American style with muzzleloading weapons. In 1784, Major General George Washington traveled through Georgia and noticed the high demand for ammunition among militia forces during his aborted campaign against British troops at Savannah. He ordered two mills (one in Dahlgren & Company and one in Armstrong) to be built in order to produce munitions for the army. In 1815, Lieutenant Colonel James Aiken founded Aiken & Son Arsenal on what is now River Road near downtown Newnan. This company became one of the most successful arms manufacturers in America during the 19th century due to its skilled production methods and innovative products. Ammunition played an important role in both World War 1 and World War 2 as well as various ceremonial events throughout Georgia society. After WW2, ammo production moved away from Georgia into other states because of tight gun control laws at that time. However, some old stockpiles of older munitions still remain in Newnan today- one example is the Category 9 machine guns still stored at Aiken Arsenal!

Newnan is a small town in Fulton County, Georgia. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Newnan is located on the Chattahoochee River, about 15 miles east of Atlanta and 50 miles west of Decatur. The city has a post office with ZIP code 30122 and an active fire department. The first people to live in what is now Newnan were the Creeks who settled along the Chattahoochee River in 1807. In 1815, Captain John Smith discovered and mapped what is now Atlanta. When he came across the Chattahoochee River he named it "Newan" after his home town of Newton in England. In 1831, Andrew Jackson was elected president and selected Newnan as his presidential campaign headquarters. During World War II, many soldiers from Newnan enlisted in the military because they needed food that could not be gotten from home due to rationing by the United States government. Some examples are: Sergeant First Class Leroy Jethro Gibbs (who died after being captured by Japanese forces), Private First Class James Dillard (who was executed for treason following World War II), Specialist Fourth Class Lewis Ladd (killed during an American bombing raid against Japan) and Corporal Donny Goodell (killed while serving as part of Company G of The 2nd Battalion 17th Infantry Regiment). In 1951, Mayor Clyde Pritchard founded "The Citizen's News". It became one of the most well-known newspapers in Gaithersburg County until it was sold to Advance Publications in 1993. It continued publishing until 2009 when it merged with Gwinnett Daily Journal to form The Georgia Daily Journal Corporation which then merged with Gwinnett County Times Newspapers Incorporated to become Gwinnett Daily News Corp., LLC which again merged with Gwinnett County Times Newspapers Incorporated on July 1st 2019 to become Gwinnett Newspaper Holdings Incorporated!

Bronze arrowheads found at Pithoragarh show that people had been using arrows with bolts of different types since 3000 BC. By 1000 BC, Indian traders had started trading with China and brought thence new technologies such as gunpowder and cannonball manufacture. This led to increased trade between China and India and thus more contact between these two civilizations which eventually led to new discoveries in both countries’ arsenals

Newnan's history dates back to 1785 when it was part of the Creek Nation. The town first appeared on maps in 1785 as part of Cherokee nation and was called "Natchez". In 1801, when Georgia became a U.S. state, Newnan became part of Jackson County and remained that way until 1837, when it became one of seventeen counties in what would become Georgia. In 1865, after the Confederate surrender at Appomattox Court House, many slaves were freed and moved to Newnan from other parts of Georgia. The free negroes primarily came from South Carolina and North Carolina but also from Alabama and Mississippi. In 1870, new cotton plantations were established in the area around present-day Newnan by Andrew Johnson's Department of Agriculture; these plantation owners hired white hands to work their fields Sharecropping continued until 1921 when all cotton production ended due to high prices for oil (see Oil production in America). Cotton cultivation resumed after World War II with success thanks to government programs such as Operation Plainsweeper which encouraged planting more cereal crops during droughts caused by global warming (see drought). Today there are over 100 small businesses located throughout the village including several banks and several large grocery stores chain like Kroger etc., along with several small churches which still play an important role in the community life
