At this point, Meridian Boulevard was just one block long and only about two feet wide; today it runs for several blocks across downtown Moscow before petering out again near Roosevelt Park (now Red Square).gruzdev&co.'s cabin became an early center for socializing among the burgeoning Russian community and hosted lectures by such luminaries as Leo Tolstoy, Ivan Turgenev, Fyodor Dostoevsky and Leo Tolstoy's wife Anna Karenina. In 1912 Kuznetsov married Olga Mikhailovna Golovanova who would later serve as Mayor of Moscow from 1934 to 1940; she also carried out various city infrastructure projects including developing Meridian Boulevard into one of America's most beautiful streets During World War II much activity took place within or around Soviet-controlled territory: munitions production at nearby Bighorn Arsenal left behind an impressive stockpile of weapons that were used against American forces during Operation Neptune's Spear; Troops barracks were set up along Bulganin Highway just north of town while large amounts of foodstuff were transported south through Springdale; entire neighborhoods within range were razed to make way for massive military installations – some still standing today like Mount Weather – including Vnukovo Airfield northwest of town which aided with strategic bombing raids against Japan . Postwar development brought more grocery stores onto Meridian Boulevard between 9th Street and 11th Street while new apartment buildings went up along 10th Avenue east side thereof & over time many businesses closed or moved away due to changing economic conditions or changes in zoning ordinances

Despite these recent efforts, Moscow still faces significant challenges including dwindling resources (the city's biggest source comes from oil production) although there are ongoing plans to revive some old industries and build new ones such as a convention center and hospital complex.
